I read Osaka took a medical time out when she was 6-5 up in the first set. Bencic also acknowledged she felt Osaka was struggling before the tie breaker. Its apparently the same injury she sustained at Auckland final (there she retired after winning first set).

Physically I think Naomi is back but mentally and remember she was never mentally strong I think she is scared of reaching a final, I think she's scared of becoming number 1 again, I said when she first came back I didn't think she would ever win a Grand Slam again and I haven't changed my mind.
Bencic playing well IMO. She came back in pretty great form. Sorry for Osaka as she has played well this year.
