  1. golden Experience requiem power makes sure that any action can never reach its conclusion. Therefore Pucci could never start accelerating time due to reverse causality being impossible to avoid.

  2. I hope you see this bro

these are some really good videos that can make you understand Stone Ocean better, You know when i read stone ocean at first i didnt understand exactly the point of it, but these videos helped A LOT and i mean it. Also helped me understand dio and pucci far more.

  3. Aw no! I would've loved to see the rest of the discussion you had with chat 🙁

  4. Stone ocean out in the manga for like 20 years and still its the greatest ending I ever seen.

  5. If you’d like a more detailed explanation of the ending than please read! Hope this helps 🙂

When Pucci dies the rest of this universe that he created using Made In Heavens ability to control gravity begins to fades out along with Pucci. A new universe is created in its place, and all living things are thrown into it, as well as the previous dead people (this happens due to Pucci no longer being able to control what is transported to the next universe because he is dead). All have no recollection of the old universe, except Emporio. Since Jolyne, Jotaro and their crew all died there souls are now placed into this "new" universe free from Pucci’s influence. They all are living happy lives. Ermes’s sister is still alive, Wether report is not a husk of his former self without his memories anymore, Anisui is dating Irene (Jolyne) and is about to mary her with Jotaros permission, and most importantly Jolyne and her father Jotaro have a loving relationship. These may not seem like our former characters but they are, in spirit. These are there souls living better lives. It’s also important to note the reasoning behind Jolyne having the new name of Irene. All of parts 1-5 still play out along with those original characters. All of the main JoJos inherit the JO in there names because they are "Fated" to fight evil because that’s part of the Joestar bloodline curse. With Pucci not existing, Jolyne has no need to fight the curse anymore as she no longer has the "Jo" in her name. She gets to live a peaceful life and thus her name is Irene, signifying the "end" of this epic battle between good and evil. Sadly In the end, Emprio is the only one who recalls anything that had happened in the old universe. He unknowingly sacrificed his own happiness for his friends. It’s a bittersweet ending, but an amazing one.

Araki on the ending of Stone Ocean.

    "I had to change Stone
Ocean’s ending right before the last chapters for this reason, I brought out all the nostalgic feelings I had in
my soul and this is why it came out like that. Jolyne Cujoh’s memories might be different in the reset of the
universe but her love and her feelings are still there, they became something eternal and I’m sure she’ll
    keep growing wiser and stronger."

  6. Hopefully this will give you closure, this is what Araki wrote about Stone Ocean after he finished it, there are no spoilers:

The truth is, I don’t really know what to say about this.

Writing this sixth part of “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure – Stone Ocean”, I started feeling a great sense of

satisfaction regarding the stand’s powers. I felt like I had reached the peak of my creativity, as an author I

had drawn everything my capabilities allowed.

‘Time’ that got faster and faster for humans’ senses to perceive, getting closer to the concept of infinite –

given we can’t really comprehend much of it. How could there possibly be a stand power bigger than this?

“There’s nothing more incredible, my creativity has reached the highest point”, that’s what I thought.

I normally think that feelings like a sense of satisfaction or personal realization are extremely scary. Finding

yourself in a situation where you think everything’s going well and you don’t need to do anything more is

without doubt a terrible situation, as a person and as a mangaka, but also if we think about society and the

development of science, philosophy, art and culture in general.

People act to achieve something, to obtain satisfaction above all else, but what do they do when they reach

it? This contradictory feeling crept up my heart while I was coming up with an ending for ‘Stone Ocean’.

Jolyne Cujoh, our protagonist, felt a deep void in her heart too because she was missing the paternal love

that brought her to befriend the shady guy that caused her to be imprisoned, after causing a car accident.

But what’s important is the progress she makes because of that, because of the actions she has to do to

save her father she becomes the strong woman she is. If we look at this story as a telling of the

protagonist’s growth, her story had ended.

So know what should I do for the accomplishment of this manga?

In other words, I don’t have anything more to draw. It’s over.

‘Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’ has reached its summit.

    This is ‘Stone Ocean’.

    The end.

But this is not right, not at all, it feels wrong. The fact that I’m feeling accomplished should not be a good

    thing.

It’s like a red light is in front of me, what should I do?

This is what I was thinking then, until I had an idea.

Go back to the origins! Isn’t this how Renaissance happened in Italy, going back to Greeks and Romans

concepts in classic art? The French painter Gauguin also built a whole new painting going back the origins

    that Tahiti represented for him.

I need to strengthen further Father Pucci’s stand power. This way time, the characters, the bloodlines and

the whole universe will have a turnaround and go back to their origins.

For ‘Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’ I had to leave modern days and return to nature. I had to change Stone

Ocean’s ending right before the last chapters for this reason, I brought out all the nostalgic feelings I had in

my soul and this is why it came out like that. Jolyne Cujoh’s memories might be different in the reset of the

universe but her love and her feelings are still there, they became something eternal and I’m sure she’ll

    keep growing wiser and stronger.

I want the protagonist for the seventh part to be fighting against nature in a way that teaches him how to

    be mature.

This were my thoughts upon writing the sixth part, maybe these things shouldn’t be said or written but this

is the author’s afterword right? It came out like this.

    Hirohiko Araki

  7. @E.D. ANIME
If it makes you feel any better, Pucci made all the people leap into the next rebirth of the universe that were ALIVE.
So even though Jotaro, Jolyne and the crew died. The original Giorno, Josuke, Rohan and etc. still are alive as they got put into new universe just like with Emporio.

  8. For Pucci's complete Made in Heaven plan to work, he had to accelerate time from '0' to '0' in a complete infinite loop. Had he succeeded in that, there wouldn't have been any way to reverse the Pucci Plan.

He accelerates till the Irene-Jotaro prison meet-up because he HAD to get Emporio to avoid any fight back in this new reset universe. But fate said no, after Pucci got annihilated, the universe reset went away, the same universe has come back but without Pucci.

SO ALL THE PRISON SHIT, Irene's sentence, Jotaro hiding away from his family, Dio's sons getting stands nonsense does not happen because Pucci doesn't exist.

All works out well. This is the end of THIS universe. The next parts deal with different, unrelated yet very good plotlines.

  9. Somebody said Pucci was the first villain to kill two Joestars but Dio killed three. George Sr., Johnathan, and Joseph (for a few minutes.)

  10. Pucci lost cuz emporio is that guy and got poised by him.
Side note Pucci didn't want them in the new universe which is why he tried so hard to kill them

  11. “I feel like he’s sad as fuck bruh”
Cuz he literally is 💀 he’s not happy at all, he knows those ain’t his friends.

  12. It’s really interesting to see how us newer fans to Jojo always knew there were 8 Jojo parts so assumed they each part would build off of one another up until Part 8. But back in 2004, Stone Ocean was marketed as the END of Jojo, & Part 7, Steel Ball Run, didn’t initially have “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure” in the title, Just “Steel Ball Run”. Some people didn’t even know it was Jojo until later down the line with all the references & stands returning. It was seen & intended as its own universe, which is crazy to see how newer fans are in awe at this revelation. The ending is supposed to be like the Part 6 cast’s “Heaven”. Each of them are living their best lives that they were never given in the original Universe. That marks the end of “OUR” Jojo, and Part 7 marks the beginning of a completely new series that shares the name “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure”. Think of it that way. And even though we may or may not have wanted things to have fold out the way that they did in Part 6, we have to understand that Araki was fatigue writing Jojo at that point. He stated how he just wanted it to end. He felt constrained to the Dio and Joestar curse, and wanted to start over with a blank slate. He wanted to end Stone Ocean the best way possible in order to have the villain end the Joestar line so that an ending to this story could come to an understandable close.

  13. Remember, anyone not killed during acceleration lived to make it into the new universe. If Emporio, the guards, and prisoners made it into the next universe it's likely every stand user we know (aside from those killed by Pucci) also made it.

If you want to know exactly what happened, there's a video called "What Happened at The End of Stone Ocean?" that breaks down the ending to a point where its understandable to people like me who don't always pick up every detail.

  14. The thing with weather report beating MiH despite how op it is, is that the ability is the perfect counter in that specific situation because pucci is still physically a human in a closed off space he can't just flee from and the oxygen poisoning bypasses needing to hit him through his absurd speed. aside from weather report/heavy weather being op to the point it's touted as potentially apocalyptic in story as well.

It's also the poetic justice that ties into emporio telling him "not even you are immune to gravity" because weather report is the stand most tied to Pucci's personal karma/fate that he believed he was above until it finally came around to this moment. If he considered Wes cursed there was no more fitting end for him to meet than at the hands of the brother he buried himself, unrelated to the joestar-dio destiny he ambitiously tried to stand atop of but completely related to his own roots where he was originally just a dude.

  15. In the end, Pucci lost since he didn't count prime numbers while Emporio was squishing his head… smh

  16. The universe with Irene and anakiss is the third universe created after pucchis ability was killed. Also for part 7 and 8 they are in no way related to 1-6 despite similar names appearing
