Dabi isnt stealing anything if anything he is using the moves Endeavour taught him
Lmao it might be silly but for me I had my suspicions about Dabi because every time he ran into shoto or endeavor he would say their full names in this tone that kinda pointed to them being the reason he joined the leauge or that they were his goal is some kind of way
Toya did inherited Endeavor's flames but his flames are hotter than Endeavor's that Toya's body couldn't resist the flames. Endeavor wanted to have a child to use both fire and ice so that this child won't overheat or get frost bites which is Shoto.
Hey normies it has been a long belief that the pink haired fan of endevor is an easter egg for an anime called fairy tale in which the MC is a fire user.

My god, the VA ruined so much the Dabi lines, first, the voice is trash asf, in japanese is the same VA of Zenitsu and Conie [AOT], a great VA for a great character, so versatile with his voice. Here is trash, omg.
That guy with the pink hair that is listening to Toya's video, he has the same voice actor for Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail which caught my eye and I was like wait why is Natsu in My Hero 😂😂

Haha Dabi is the best option among the league members to one-sidedly dog on. He isn't without cause and certainly deserved better but the only one that embraced evil more willingly was AFO himself. He deserves sympathy but it is massively overtaken by the unnecessary suffering he celebrates in inflicting. His response to a bad situation was to maximize rather than minimize, and while that impulse is understandable, it is never respectable.

I like the mindset that it’s fucked up that this all happens to endeavor when he’s trying to do better but also accepting that it’s all stuff he did and it is the consequences of his actions. I disagree with marketa saying Endeavor never should have been #1. He earned that. We see that he’s not the most popular which means he’s number one because of the sheer volume of incidents he’s resolved. He’s done fucked up things but that doesn’t mean he’s not also doing very good things.

This is like my 3rd comment on this video but I also wanted to add to a point marketa brought up that endeavor only decided to change after becoming number one. He worked so hard towards his goal and when he got it and it wasn’t what he thought or the way he’d hoped it probably forced him to look back at everything he’d done to get there

Endeavor is actually one of my favorite characters due to multiple reasons, but most of all, because he has had sooooooo much character development.
The voice acting is great but the english dialogue does seem a bit dumbed down for this show.
I was spoiled about this last year. Tbh what Dabi said about fire quirks being common is why I didn’t see it coming. I didn’t expect him to release it to the public the way he did, that was crazy
Fun fact: You weren't supposed to know the guy on the copter was Best Jeanist before the reveal; both the animations show too much in the cold open and the captions here even named him, lol. What a mess.
So Best Jeanist controls “fibres” not just denim. Those rolls of cables are most likely Steel Fibers or Carbon Fibres or something like that.

Words truly cannot summarize the pure insanity that was happening in the manga community when this chapter came out
Endeavour did try to change & succeeded in most aspects but due to his position & potential negative effect on the masses, he chose to move forward instead of revealing & atoning. Dabi is a villain & is not looking for sympathy really, even when he says he is. He wants to burn down everything Endeavour has built. Undoing all that was done while he believes he was cast aside.
He called himself Stains true successor because he is the stain that Endeavour left on the world. He will continue to spread & dirty his father's legacy until the world decides to throw Endeavour away instead of cleaning it all up. Reveling in it every second of the way. Because the attention/focus is now back on him.
Also don't forget they have all manipulated by AFO to different degrees. Both directly and indirectly. Impressionable kids that went very wrong, very early. They're villains but we sympathise because they could have been saved at one point.. If they weren't overlooked.
Toga being the youngest, is shown to have that last straw moment in this episode. Something I think was intentionally aligned.
The Todoroki story just keeps getting better.
In one episode Dabi has shown himself way more interesting and charismatic than Shigaraki in the whole series.
