  1. Omg is that Ai Hashimoto as a geiko??? Yassss
The outfits are so on point. And the show seems to have more background stories and emotional depth than the anime version.

  2. Always love these Asian dramas that involves food. Netflix needs to make more of these. Kenya to the sweet tooth salesman, Let’s Eat, Samurai gourmet, Midnight Diner, love these shows

  3. Hirokazu Kore-eda doing a project at Netflix? Interesting! In the past, this would have gone to the top of my watchlist but the man's last few projects have come off as overly melodramatic.

  4. Love it already can’t wait. Watched shoplifters amazing movie same director

  5. MARLIN PIE & CEROBLAST are my sexy ass asian wives 😛 HAHAH

PHANTOM MIRIA is my SEXY ASS white wife 😛 HAHAH

I, HAVIER RAVEZ am the greatest guilty gear player of all time 😛 HAHAHA

WORLDBLOCK TREE = decent venom player I suppose 😛 HAHA

superman = WALKING SUN 😛 HAHAHA

  6. I hope we get more Japanese dramas and movies from Netflix. As a jdrama Stan, I’ve just been waiting for JP content to go worldwide and popular like kdramas & cdramas. Plus, I love Nana Mori, she’s so cute and a great actress & singer.

Edit: wow Makita Aju is in this as well? Another great actress.

  7. I was looking for the anime intro: "tut-tut-too-roo-tooo…tut-tut-too-roo-tooo…"

  8. Netflix produces "better" Japanese drama series than the rest of Japanese industry doing for the past several decades; the Japanese film industry needs a great deal of soul-searching.

  9. I'll admit that I cried when everyone appreciated her cooking.
At least this shows a lighter side of the geisha and maiko life in contrast to Memoirs of A Geisha- although I still retain respect to that story.
What's also amazing is that everyone that have contributed to this story are also Japanese which makes it more authentic.
There was also an anime adaption of this story.

  10. Looks amazing. I loved the anime and I can't wait for this! And I'm also hoping that Netflix will also get the live-action adaptation of My Happy Marriage (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) 🤞

  11. just the trailer is giving me such positive vibes, I'm excited for this!!

  12. So excited for this! I saw the anime and read the manga as it combines my favorite things: Cooking and Maiko! (^0^)/

  13. SteelSeries Arctis 9X he is it with British heritage you try to diversity everything, but with Chinese heritage it’s wholesome and authentic.. your a racists company that wants to diversify white values

  14. The show seems to be more serious than the manga. I was hoping for a more light-hearted tone.
The cinematography and the color looks fantastic though. This is gonna be a beautiful drama.

  15. I enjoyed the anime a lot, it was incredibly relaxing and comfy to watch. I hope the show may just be as relaxing as the anime.

  16. If you have an interest in watching this or anything geisha related. You should read the book/watch the movie “ memoirs of a geisha “. A very different story from this show. Still it tells the story of Sayuri who trains & becomes the most famous geisha. It’s wonderful but also extremely sad at times. Definitely check it out! It was available to watch on US Netflix.

  17. only heard how maikos even considered this career from kimono mom. it sounded difficult from her story but still interesting how teens survive and adapt to this environment.
