I'm so excited! I was waiting for this to happen before watching Memorial Edition. I know, I know, it was made in Japan, yada yada. There are some subs I can listen to just fine, but this isn't one of them. I fell in love with this english cast and can't wait for this dub.

I really hope they do some outtakes, thats always one of the parts i really like…i didnt watch memorial edition yet, so iguess ill watch the dub.
I will die on this hill, but Marc Diraison is THE voice for Guts. The emotion he puts into guts and how he conveys the feelings that Guts is going through in a particular scene is incredible. The 1997 anime is what introduced me to Berserk in the first place, and I always hear Diraison's voice for guts whenever I read the manga. The cast is literally perfect for Berserk and I'm glad to have them back
Had whiplash when I saw the title of this video. This is equivalent to having the OG Eva cast return for the last movie for me. Definitely sold me on buying the Blu-ray

I was a sub only person till i watched berserk dubbed. Its actually pretty good. The reputation anime dubs have is very exaggerated especially since english dubs have drastically improved since the 90s and 2000s.

I usually watch subs, but watching Berserk in subs is a travesty to me. It doesn't match whatsoever, and the original english cast did a fantastic job. Sub purists are just nerdy weebs. There are exceptional dubs, maybe not many but they exist, and this is one of them.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, I don't think Gambino had any lines in the memorial edition. Does this hint at extra backstory scenes for Guts?

Anyway, I'm yet to check ther previous dubs out as some anime dubs are actually quite good even for tender ears of a sub-worshiper as myself. So please forgive me the silly joke at the beginning of this post 😉
It would of been interesting if they used the 2016 dub. But this cast is irreplaceable and we love them so much.
REALLY hope they get Christopher Kromer back to play Judeau. He doesn’t really do voice acting anymore and is now a real estate agent, but he has such a unique voice that fit Judeau super well

I was introduced to Berserk through the 97’ anime so their voices hold a special place in my heart when listening to Berserk dubbed. Also I can always only hear Goku as Gaston and Eggman as Adan Coborlwitz lol
Another great voice is Zodd in the 97’ anime. He literally sounds like a video game boss when first introduced and is badass. Almost as iconic as the Shao Kahn voice in MK2/3
