  1. Apologies for the unfitting footage, was kinda rushing to edit the video together so had to use a bunch of trailers rather than clips from the show. But hope you enjoy all the same!

What did you think of Lupin Zero? I encourage you all to share your thoughts! (Be kind to mark spoilers, if you please.)

  2. I watched it, and It felt very unnecessary. In a franchise that has no "one true canon", giving him an origin story feels moot.

  3. Show was an absolute banger, tho it really should’ve been 12 episodes

  4. I disagree there is clearly a connection with part 4 and 5, there is also a very young Albert alongside Lupin I, among other things he takes a lot of inspiration from the chapters from the original manga where there is precisely Lupin III as a boy starting from the character design

  5. Money Punch really liked the "kid Lupin" idea , considering he made an entire flashback chapter series and a spin-off about Lupin and Fujiko’s son.

  6. I just binged the series pretty much in a day and I enjoyed it! I've only seen part 2 and a bit of part 1 and was able to follow along well, but I agree that the story, especially the stuff with Yoko, is kind of undercooked. What I think the series really nails is the small quiet introspective moments with the characters, that stuff rocks. I did get used to Jigen's voice as well, but I still wish they would have chosen a younger voice for him to really contrast with his serious behavior, both cause it would really show how messed up it is that he's so young and having this lifestyle, but it would also be funny imo.

  7. Regarding Yoko, I wouldn't call her story a waste. More like the lesson. Lupin The 2nd- "Being a thief is a two-way street. It's not just about what you acquire. Because you always lose a fair share, too."

  8. An incredibly solid bit of television, which kept to the heart of the series yet still put its own spin on things. Glad to see the franchise is still trying new things, even if they don't all land. Keep up the great work, and have a nice day.

  9. Thanks for another awesome Lupin video! I am a fan of the Lupin series, but not a "mega-fan" only seeing the movies/series that were more popular. It always surprises me how much Lupin stuff there is. Thanks for bringing some of these that I've missed to my attention so I can take a look at them in the near future!

  10. I really liked the series but I need to say that you are right in most if not every point that you say.
Also, I already know that in the Lupin III series there is no cannon at all, but it would be interesting trying to connect this show with The Woman Called Fujiko Mine.
