We grew 29 different varieties of squash and pumpkins last year as part of a big variety trial. Some did well, and others really struggled in our cool climate, and some tasted great. Now I need to decide which varieties we are going to grow this season, and we only have space in the main gardens for a few varieties. But we might also grow a second variety trial in another growing space, and possibly even start to process of developing a new variety.
