The newest Lupin series is out and covers a brand new era of the franchise, but is that a good thing or a bad thing?

  1. Lupin Zero is a perfect success! Lupin and Jigen as teenage boys and their beginning as thieves!

  2. For what this series is, what it had to offer and done with the characters and setting, Zero is easily one of the best Lupin series we ever have! I was just smiling all the way through with each episode, spotting as many references/easter eggs to past Lupin Media and just bopping to the OST especially to some remakes of classic Part 1 music.

There is one thing that I would say about Zero is this, I wish we have more episodes as I feel like it could had strengthen the show even more like giving characters such as Lupin I and Lupin II more screentime and add more a bit depth to the main story arc with Lupin, Jigen & Yoko. Other than that, Lupin Zero is such a great series!

  3. Honestly good or not i really just like the way it looks, very classic and cool : )

  4. Super corny or not, Lupin and Jigen’s ambiguous bromance is honestly 85% of the reason I’m invested in this fandom. 😆

  5. Keep in mind, I’m pretty this was somewhat made by the people who did Tiny Toon Adventures which explains some of the funny cartoonish scenes😂😂

  6. I was skeptical. Then it came out and I loved it.
When it was announced after Part 6's dissapointment I lost faith in TMS, thinking they'd just milk the franchise with any ideas they could throw at the wall. The Cats Eye trailer reinforced this thought.

The finished product felt like a loving and natural introduction to Lupin and Jigen and it was just wicked fun. It had plot when it mattered and I was invested in each episode. Animation is a huge step up from Part 6, the Part 1 remixes are all strong. If they can match this quality I'd love to see more Zero content.

  7. in my opinion it was really good especially eith the retelling of Lupin and Jigen first encounter, bromance and childhood antics!

definatly a huge step up and come back from whatever part 6 was 😂

I also like how the added more a yellow old cartoon texture over the animation to make it look old 😁

  8. 9:08 Also the hollow needle is a reference to the book, hollow needle written by Maurice Leblanc who wrote the original Lupin (the first) and was what inspired monkeypunch to make Lupin the Third

  9. When you get the team behind Part 4 and Part 5 using songs and tone connected to Part 1, you get chef kiss a great min-series.
