I think the same that you. I don't think a second season is necessary, because they already gave us a happy ending. I don't think they came up with a new story, a new drama, for poor Miri. What I do consider is that they should give us an OVA of what happened at that time… An episode on the beach, or how they told Miri the truth. would. good stories to adapt.

15:39 The main problem with letting Rei go free, is at first the same problem as members of the Yakuza or mafia families, is that they know too much. It is best to kill them. The problem with Rei's father is that we realized that he was not capable of killing his son, as is done with those who leave the organization, so his best option was to threaten him so that he would stay and inherit his position as boss, since for him Rei is his best creation. Sure, he could prioritize his business and kill him, but we know the father couldn't, even if he could pull the trigger with Rei on his back, he didn't.

Amazing show, very (very) underated and I hope people that skipped on it calling it "Gay SxF" will rewind themselves and watch it because they skipped on something amazing.

The ending was so fitting I can’t believe this show reallly came to an end already 😭 I was bawling my eyes out as well 😭😭 this show was definitely a 10/10 !
I laughed at the end of Ogino. Not because I really found it funny, but it was such a hyper-nervous stress laugh. q_q" And because I was so happy when he was finally defeated. X_D That was the worst thing about this argument for me. (It's a good thing that this booklet also went up in flames.) As for Rei's father, I thought that that can be sorted out without him or Rei having to die and I'm actually glad that was the case. The best thing was the time jump and the photo wall. It was great that Karin and Kyuu were there too. Also Miri's mother in in her room with her. <3 And how Rei is now THE french toast pro. 😀 It was a surprisingly 'deep' series; I was expecting more slapstick after the start. I liked it much better this way and will miss the three of them!

Same reaction as you, I paused for a good two minutes before continuing forward with the time skip so I could get my bearings! Also glad that Miri didn't turn out looking the way Kazuki envisioned her as a teen if she broke bad in episode 6!
Man I really loved this show. Before it came out everyone was like "Spy x Family at home", but it ended up being something special.

the thing is that i really liked the time skip but at the same time i really want season 2 and i feel like they could do sm with it 😭but overall i'm so happy we got the happy ending we deserved <33
him shooting himself was the signal that even if they manage to kill miri or kazu he would litterally kill himself before returning to his fathers side

The irony that, in addition to being unable to record his own last words despite his obsession with his victim's, Ogino was responsible for Kazuki's wife and unborn kid's death by a fuel truck explosion he caused and ends up in an explosion himself.
This show was a perfect example of a queerplatonic relationship that still left it open enough to interpret however the fuck one wants it to whether its romantic or platonic. Despite a few minor issues I had it was a really a great show with a great message that is definitely directed at general audience to show queerness as smth completely natural/normal. Usually i want more of xyz series immediately after but the way they finished this one was just so fucking perfect its insane. They rly are married life partners 10 years later with a diner, a daughter and im gonna choose to believe they all have "Kurusu" surname now. No more of that "Suwa" nonsense. :')

I’ve heard a couple folks say that this was the kind of show that could go on for multiple seasons, seeing Miri grow up over time as Kazu and Rei make progress on their relationship with Miri and themselves, but making a tight single season was also a great call.
Man, what a satisfying ending. More anime should be like that.
they could make a spin off/sequel show called daughter daddies. but knowing the producers of this anime… we probably wont even get OVAs.
OVA's would be dope!! I do agree that although I would personally love a s2 purely just to keep seeing them, there isn't really a need for it bc of how well the finale was handled. the idea for one ova (of many – once again wishful thinking but I really want so many ova's of this show9 that come to mind right away would be a really comedic slice of life for when Miri starts dating – you just know Kazuki would lose his shit and would drag Rei along for his shanenigans🤣

I was partly expecting Miri to kill Rei's dad. Like that one part in the beginning with Miri with the gun, except this time it's actually loaded. Like, I know it'd be f-ed up, but it'd be kind of funny.
