“Laguna turns Rebecca into water to stop Daichi from torturing her with his tree Ether Gear. Homura and Weisz are captured by Kleene and Fie, while Fie kills Sibir for harboring the crew. Shiki enters Overdrive to match Jinn, but Drakken intervenes, stating that neither Shiki’s nor Jinn’s forms are “true” Overdrives, and uses his alchemy Ether Gear to turn Shiki into stone. Drakken brings the four crewmates to an underpass to punish them for their infiltration, destroying Weisz’s medicine and selling Happy and Pino to a junk dealer, which coerces Rebecca into joining him to spare her friends. As a warning to the crew, Drakken has one of Weisz’s arms cut off and reveals that Maria’s teammates, who faked their destruction, have disabled the Four Shining Stars and seized the Edens Zero. While his friends are terrified into submission, Shiki defiantly promises to defeat Drakken someday, but is killed by Drakken with a gunshot to the head”

this episode blew my mind, but i really liked it because is realitic i mean not every villian will keep you allive just for the power of friendship to save you
i do believe that Rebacca's either gear will go into overdrive and reverse back time, to where idk perhaps she even loses one of her legs in the proces i don't know (anime only, so manga readers don't spoil) i am now so looking forward to next week
How do we recover from this? A hint is why Drucken Joe needed Rebecca.

I like this guy when he gets so upset over Shiki death.
One of many dark moments in EZ, I'd say this is what makes it different form FT.
When I first read this scene I was like "holy crap, EZ is not holding back when it comes to intense scenes like that."
Same as what Drakken made them realize early on, it's not always about fun, adventure and friendship. Eventually they'll come across people like Drakken that they don't want to definielty mess with unless they have that "kill-or-be killed" mentality like the government.
That's what made me interested in reading EZ up to this day, the flashy fights and waifus they share from FT is a plus.
Drakken is probably one of my favorite villain he's ruthless
