  1. I think they forget that the last time Canute saw Thorfinn, he tried to kill him. Canute probably thinks he's crazy as hell haha. I wouldn't want to meet him either.

  2. Thorfinns character progression has been off the charts, my favourite character so far of 2023

  3. I feel like people are still failing to understand this show's premise. The audience is supposed to side with Olmar, which they are, but regardless, this behavior is not "normal", relative to the story, to this time period. Olmar is the outlier and weirdo here. Same goes for Thorfinn. This is not normal for Norse men, even if what Norse men currently represent is stupid.

  4. Manga Spoilers:

Now let's take a moment to appreciate Olmar's development here, in comparison to Thorfinn, it only need 1 war and 1 person he killed to become a pacifist and surpass that "fake warrior" mindset where as Thorfinn had to kill thousands for the guy who killed his father and it took these many lives for him to have this redemption arc of feeling empty and depressed to finally having the purpose of never having violence as the first option while slowly building a nation to find Vinland, for Olmar though, it took his actual people from his country to develop which is probably why he developed faster and also because this whole time he was scared of violence and never really wanted it to begin with, he just wanted this facade of a strong warrior because he idolized people like his older brother, while for Thorfinn it was from killing and pillaging from strangers he didn't know of without guilt (he did feel guilt back then but his hatred was stronger) until Askeladd finally dies at the hands of Canute when the souls of these people haunt him every night.

I'd say Olmar is "lucky" since he didn't have to go through killing thousands just to know that life is more precious than pursuing hatred or love for battle & honor, but i digress, the parallels between the characters in this story is absolutely phenomenal, no one can deny this manga/anime is a masterpiece (mostly the manga since the anime adds and removes lots of stuff) and that brains like Makoto Yukimura are one of the rarest for being able to tell such a classic story

  5. Can you please lower sound of the guy on top left with with red headphones i
