Trigun ’98 is one of my all time favorite anime. Trigun: Stampede is…not.

  1. My main problem with Stampede is Vash's character direction like sure Vash is incredibly kind often to his own detriment but he could also be a fucking asshole Hell in the manga and especially Trimax he's terrifying.

  2. You didn't even watch it or understand the reason THE MANGAKA wanted a remake lmao this video is so misinformed and biased.

  3. I totally agree with you! I have similar experience with Trigun 1998 being the fist anime I watched from start to finish when I was like 14. I was a big fan of it (and then the manga) immediately. And seeing the new thing was really disappointing. Not only does in not adapt the Maximum manga, which I hoped it would (you know, the whole "give trigun the fma:brotherhood treatment!") but it turns out to be a show with characters you recognise, but without their soul, and the same thing goes for the story, animation, art, music, everything. Good thing this new anime brought some attention to the original and more fans watch it now, but Trigun Stampede for me is just a whole different thing that I have no interest in. I won't say it's a bad anime since I dropped it after the 1st ep, but if I'll ever want to watch trigun, I would prefer to watch the original for the 100th time that sit through the new one one single time. Love & Peace!

  4. 1) I cant blame you. He does look like some K-pop member with that design. However, he does go through some changes design wise near the end which you could like if you ever go watch it
    2) Yea, for this….reimagining(?), Milly doesnt show up in this part. However, there were several articles before the season that do mention she is not completely out of the show itself
    3) Imo, yea that chase scene only kinda showed off the goofiness of Vash. i def saw some of its jankiness and thats why I wouldnt show that to many ppl compared to other clips of the show.
    4) Imo, this scene was epic.
    Overall, this anime and the OG trigun are both completely different. OG Trigun is basically anime only content which never happened in manga cuz of several issues going on in the manga sphere and Stampede is just a reimagining of the manga after it was fully completed. Imo, both are really great shows that offer different stories. Vash remains more lighthearted save for the end of OG Trigun whereas with Stampede, we learn more about the sins he bears as well as get more insight into Wolfwood since OG never really ever got a chance to explore him more. Imo, Stampede offers a better story with these characters than OG does. With that being said, not really forcing you to watch Trigun Stampede. Sucks ya cant vibe with it.

  5. While you are definitely entitled to your opinions, I think you should still give the show more of a chance. The OST is a standout in the anime scene so if you ever get the chance, you should check it out… also, I don't get the hate for the animation or the style at all, I believe it is some of the better cgi I've seen, and I'm not just talking about in anime. The techniques the studio uses to make the characters faces look 2D are some of the most revolutionary in the industry. I personally think it looks as good as any western 3D-animation movie like Frozen or that new Puss in Boots movie.
    As much as I am a huge fan of the og Trigun, I think Trigun Stampede has a much deeper exploration of the human vs plant plotline and much higher stakes. There's death, there's painfully sad moments, and also Milly is in the second season (this is confirmed). Don't just take the trailer footage and brush it off without even looking at a plot synopsis ;-;

  6. It's made for dumb zoomers, look at Vash, he looks like a Fing Zoomer
