  1. does the mark represent something? or is it just a similar mark that reminds him of his old house?

  2. This house is honest his family's old house.Kotaro found the symbol that
    he remind.
This room has his bright and sad
    memory.

  3. At first I didn't really understand the significance of this scene, until I realized that the stain Kotaro recognizes so much is inside a closet.

    Good grief, poor kid.

  4. i just dont understand why she thought it was a good idea to bring him somewhere where he was traumatized. it kinda angers me at her ignorance
in a way i think she was selfishly thinking it was going to help him in some sort of way, but in reality she didn’t take his feelings into consideration and just THOUGHT it would be good for him, thinking she did a good thing for him.

  5. Noticed the places he went to look for that certain shaped stain he remembered: cupboard, corner of balcony, closet, …. Normally people don’t pay attention to these places unless they have to.
    Heart-breaking details.

  6. this is exactly the same as that anime sakamoto desu ga, where he is a super cool dude who can do everything but at the end it was revealed when he shared something like he memorized all the holes in the ceiling of a ward or room which pertains to him likely being terminally ill without fully revealing it to the people around him and also the audience.. Its a bittersweet story of guy with fleeting time who wants to enjoy life rather than being in a hospital room.. I always wondered what was that holes in the ceiling he was talking about until i read an explanation on reddit.

  7. なんで押し入れの中のシミに見覚えがあったのか
    押し入れのシミなんて普通はあまり気にしないのに
    それは小太郎が押し入れの中に何回も閉じ込められた事があるからなのか…

  8. I know it's a stylized choice by the author but i can't help but think kotaro looks like a lizard with the vertical line pupils and it really retracks from the emotional story telling for me.

  9. I don't really follow that line of thinking.
Warriors maybe yes. To return to a place that made them who they are or something.
But kids and the average human should never revisit places like this

  10. Seeing this anime and all the people in this apartment trying to help him reminds me of an old saying. I can't remember all if it the the second half of it is: "It takes a village to raise a child."

  11. I'm intrigued by this show, but given that the artist is capable of drawing normal anime eyes, I'm not really sure why they chose to make his eyes look like that.

  12. ALOT of people are missing why this visit happened. Kotaro asks the lady if she read his missives. She has so she takes him there. After that exchange we hear Kotaro's voice reading the missive where he wishes the place he used to live in is flourishing. Meaning Kotaro has a yearning for his old home, wishing it well, not wanting to see it decrepit. To Kotaro, this home is not a place to avoid.

  13. I swear this Anime is like that one legendary anime that people keep finding new subtle details every time. Unless these are not some fun details and just making it more sad the more details that you find

  14. シミを探していた場所が、家の中でのコタローくんの居場所だったってことだよね…?

  15. My god, I realized the places he was remembering. Places of hiding.
