Remembering the days when life was easier, paddling out into a glassy south swell hoping to drop into a perfect overhead barrel that you could ride all the way to the beach. Then, as you are sitting on your board on the beach reveling in that last ride, the most beautiful and popular girl walks up to you in a two-piece bathing suit, and you are frozen in your moment as she actually stops to talk to you. Yes, this really happened and no, I didn’t get the girl, she was taken, and I was too young for her. But to that teenage boy, that had to be one of the best days of his life. Here is a ride back down memory lane thinking about my hometown and how good it was growing up there on the beach and in the surf. #newmusic #surfing #beachlife
