I wanted to see if four batches of climbing beans could be paired with early and late courgette or zucchini plants, in order to get more out of a long bed on the polytunnel. I was hoping to get a continual supply of beans over a long part of the season, and get both an early and late crop of courgettes. Timing was the key issue for this, and required pulling out plants when they were still producing.
