It is not easy growing sweet peppers in a cool climate like what we have in Ireland, even in the polytunnel, or at least it is not easy to get a good crop of ripe sweet red peppers. Every year I learn more, and get a better understanding of how to manage the plants to get a good crop, and this past growing season we have produced quite a good crop of peppers, mainly I think because the plants were pruned quite hard, and we sowed more suitable varieties.
