It's from Mizukami Satoshi, the author of Hoshi no Samidare (Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer). This is a great story that will make you cry!

I've read the manga and it is great, IMO. It's by the same author of Hoshi no Samidare, which is even better, though its anime was really bad. I think the main problem with Sengoku Youko is the start, which is not that interesting, but from the second third onwards it becomes phenomenal. The characters are absolutely incredible, specially the MC.
There is a manga adapting as an anime that I know of, the manga is called ‘Whisper Me a Love Song.’ (I forgot the mangaka’s name sorry.) Anyway, It's a Yuri manga, it's wholesome yet has some drama going on, and there's mainly music stuff too.
Oh, and its probably releasing during January next year.
Anyway, I'm curious if you have read it.
