This was a fine/decent episode–I think it would have gone over better (for me at least) if we had more of a connection to Marc… I don't think he had enough introduction/characterization for viewers of the anime to feel invested in him. Perhaps more magical girl hijinks in the next episode… As for the neighbor girl, I heard from source readers on Reddit that she could get more focus either at the very end of S1 or during a potential S2.
