Us initial d fans deserve better!!
I like Kouki, but not as a character. He's quite the bad-ass driver (as Season 2 will show) and that's enough to turn the "i only date 17 year olds" into a void.
Btw i liked how you didn't say the cookie cutter "shitbox 86 running down Lambos and Ferraris" line, because that didn't happen(in the first race).
Unworthy. It relies too much on nostalgia and Initial D without having much substance to stand on its own two feet. It's dissapointing but at least we get eurobeat, I suppose? We should have gotten that Rally sequel that was in the works.
For Me, it was worthy as succesor to the series, if only Shigeno reduced his desire of underage fanservice that would made me more enjoy this series, apart from it I'm enjoying action of Kanata and can't wait for 2nd Season
