If I recall, they announced both prequele and s2 back then.
If yall are wondering why the animation is so good, it’s because this particular studio normally does animated movies and short films, plus of course they were given proper time and budget for all the BTW eps
i bet they made this to test the waters and see if people would want a full burn the witch series… set up tons of stuff while also being contained here. i hope they make a gull series of burn yhe witch
The reason I feel they took awhile to put this episode out was probably due to them clearing the rights to use the dragon ball an sailor moon songs for Noel phone ring tones

So this prequel episode covers the material from the one shot that came out in 2018. I believe after the first 4 chapters came out in 2020 (or around that time), they announced a season 2 for the manga. Only reason we haven't gotten anything recently is because Kubo is working on the TYBW anime so it'll probably take a bit before we get more chapters. Glad y'all enjoyed this tho. 🙏🙏🙏
Yeah this is a prequel to the previous Burn the Witch episodes! Fun fact: the dog, Osushi, is based off Kubo's own Pomeranian lol
Hopefully Burn The Witch's Anime Production will be easier on Kubo than Bleach's
Fun reaction, interesting dragon discussion, & random songs 10/10! Taylor & Javon did a good job remembering some of the characters from 3 years ago, especially Javon because Macy wasn't in this prequel.
Like Taylor, I wanted a full Burn the Witch season 3 years ago. I like the characters & Reverse London. The different dragon designs also remind me of the land of dragons in the Ancient Magus Bride.
Although that dangerous dragon replaced Balgo's deceased friend, he still wanted Balgo to run for safety during the attack. Noel & Ninny's partnership is cute. They even have joint custody of Balgo.
As for the secret dragon among you, it's clearly Sherm 😅! He's waiting for the right moment strike like the one in this episode. Taylor & Javon are too rash & emotional to strategize a government negotiation or takedown 😂.
With his newly colored blond hair Sherm is in the final phase of his plan!
Surprisingly the best thing about this first episode for me was the ringtones 😂. Great way to show love
I wish we had whole season of Burn of Witch… but I take this as well (for now). It's kinda weird that they just now adapted this One-shot chapter that came out before those 3 episodes because technically this is the first time we meeting with Noel,Ninny and Balgo. Sadly now we don't have anymore BTW content left from the manga. 😅 Now we can only wish/hope that after Bleach TYBW anime is finished Kubo is gonna start focusing on this one even if we still have novels and new Bleach arc which was a one-shot chapter as well which left off clearly being " to be continue".
I'm sorry but I would rather have Bleach be put on pause so this could be adapted.
