I love the developments of every single character. It's written with such care:
-Tsukiko obviously isn't content with just being a pretty face/side kick. She embraces her beauty, but at the same time strives to become Senya's equal or more. It's great that her current master is also someone who cheats rather than fights using the standard rules. This allows for Tsukiko to grow stronger without retconning the power concepts established in this world.
-Senya's learning how to be less uptight and tackle every problem in creative ways. The Shogun really did have a major impact on Senya's worldviews.
-Tama is taking over Shinsuke's role as the slapstick comedy pro.
Kumozou is Jinun's name btw.
