I finally felt motivated to pull this one off.
It was a bit of an undertaking to say the least, but as I’m trying to slow down on videos for this channel, I found it was a good time to try and break this one out since I’ve wanted to do it for so long. I knew it was going to be insane due to it’s length and vocal chops needed, so I alloted myself as much time as I needed to get it completed. I think I began this right after finishing It Has To Be This Way, so it took about three weeks until I felt confident to reveal this to the world.
This was a complete leap of faith with my vocals. As most people know, singing in my covers is VERY much a new and uncomfortable thing for me and I knew that there was absolutely no room for lack of confidence in this track. I spent three days on vocal tracking alone, and ended up completely blowing out my voice for days. I’m gonna need a vocal coach if I’m gonna keep this up!
Johnny Manchild has been a huge help to me lately, not only has he been helping me with transcription, mixing, and tab writing; this cover would not be nearly as insane without his knowledge and implementation of synths to match the original feel. Most of the synths you hear are him so be sure to thank him on his channels.
My birthday was just a few days ago, and Adriana got me four new flood lights to use in my videos and I added them to my lighting setup. It’s starting to look pretty legit compared to previous videos (specifically like SwSh Gym Cover lmao).
There were snags at every step of this cover and it was a true testament of everyone involved to bring it to you. I truly hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think below!
