Disney Movie Mistakes in Monsters Inc (2001). Mike jokingly tells Sulley, “You’ve been jealous of my good looks since the fourth grade, pal.” But in Monsters University is supposed to tell the tale of how the two best friends and co-workers first met in college. During the story, there’s no-handed these two knew each other before then. The filmmakers probably wrote a version of the script with a pair who knew each other in fourth grade and then reconnected in college. They deliberately ignored the line from the original movie to make the story of Monsters University work.
