  1. Shohei has gone way past the Babe. And the Babe is the greatest ever. If Shohei continues as he is for the next 8 years, he will be incomparable.

  2. Ohtani won’t win a title with the Angels! Never will! Needs to go to the Yankees, or Dodgers!

  3. Nobody's worth that – and you would fleece your budget for one player – look at the Angels – he never got them into the playoffs – Steve Cohen could afford it –

  4. He wants to win a world series and be in the hall of fame. Neither of those look likely if he stays at the Angels.

  5. A Cardinals fan but as a baseball fan in general I definitely I think he's perfect for Dodger blue

  6. Dodger Execs and Fans threw Darvish under the bus and kicked him out in a very unprofessional way. Reports that his family was threatened, kids taken out of school from bullies while Darvish was Cheated in the Worst scandal in history. No apology, no explanation, victimized by the Astros, Dodgers and Yuli Gurriel's extremely racist gesture and language. Ohtani is supposed to forget all that was done to his friend and sign with the same organization who supported fans that attacked Darvish like this? The Dodgers will sweep it under the rug but the People know.

  7. Buy stock in Seattle. I'm not a fan but that's happening if the numbers are even close. You're telling me Ichiro isn't having an influence?

  8. The fact that anybody thinks he's leaving LA is hilarious to me. Yall realize the Dodgers have just $80 mil committed to their roster in 2024 right? Meaning they have over $200 mil in spending power next year alone. They could offer Ohtani $80 mil/year and have plenty left over.

  9. Please…leave the Angel's and take Trout with you. Anywhere is better than with the Angels.

  10. The Giants and the Dodgers will bid each other out of the equation and he'll sign for some stupid 13 year $900m garbage. Cap baseball already

  11. Please Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox Red Sox

  12. The question here is do you pay him as an elite pitcher or as an elite bat? Or maybe both? It’s a tough one for organizations if you ask me…

  13. Idk if I'm old school but……not impressed…… no playoffs, it's a team sport. Judge, besides the homerun record, didn't impress either. Playoffs and rings impress me.

Edit: and that's from a Phillies fan who lost the world series

  14. It’ll be interesting. The plus side of having an amazing hitter / pitcher is that he can do both in the same day. The downside is if he gets hurt you’re missing both. He’ll get an insane contract, if he can stay healthy he would be any teams best player. But man, if injuries hit him it would hit your team so much harder than anyone else. The ultimate risk and reward.

  15. Funny how now that fraud Judge got his juiced-ball induced MVP he's back to praising Ohtani when he was diminishing what he did all of last season. What a nationalistic hypocrite.

  16. MORE CHEATING SCANDALS——– former players coming forward with LA DODGER CHEATING and STEALING SIGNS illegally while CRYING about HOU cheating BETTER then them. DODGERS CAUGHT CHEATING AND trying to BUY A title yet choking and failing miserably every year…CHOKE CHOKE CHOKE..>CHEAT CHEAT CHEAT

  17. How does a player get a extra 10 to 20 million added to his contract?? Simple, just spread the rumor he wants to sign with San Francisco! That's worth 10 to 20 million extra for a long term contract with one of the moneybags four!

  18. It's an uninteresting prediction for many, but I think he will sign with the Angels.

  19. By the way, I love watching his ability to run the bases, although it doesn't get as much attention as his home run numbers and pitching. He can fly.

  20. Everyone forgets that the Angels are wasting Rendon as well. What a sinful organization. Of course, the injuries may not be the organization's fault, but the Angels are cursed. Moreno is back too lol.

  21. He would sign with the Angels for about the same as Trout or about $500M.

  22. Dodgers or Giants will land Ohtani. Their both championship winners in the last 10 seasons & are contenders right now. The angels haven’t done squat since reaching the ALCS in 2009. The Yankees haven’t won anything since 2009, the Red Sox don’t like paying for quality players & what exactly can the Mets offer besides money? Mets haven’t been to a World Series since 2000 & haven’t won it since 1986.

  23. He is not even close to an ace, hits for a mediocre average and is injury prone. Is he still incredible? Yes absolutely. Is he overrated? Absolutely.

  24. And most likely he'll play another Playoffless baseball with the Angels.

  25. In what world is he the best hitter or best pitcher? His selling point is that he’s great at both, but he’s not the best at either. The Mets will give him 525 million.

  26. It's such a stupid take, Ohtani isn't the best pitcher or hitter in the game. He has the potential to be but he hasn't done either of those yet. The easiest player to talk up in sports and they have to say nonsense stuff. Like being top tier in both is special but being the best in each would be ridiculous.
