William returns today to react to the cinematic and gaming masterpiece that is The Last Of Us 2. Who knew a desolate zombie-infested wasteland could look so beautiful? Our expert filmmaker dissects and looks at all the key details given to us unknowingly by the game developers to help motivate and tell Ellie’s story throughout the game. How the game psychologically brings you into it and forms a connection between it and the player to make it more enticing and enjoyable. William describes in-depth how different lighting and camera angles help to take you through a story whilst giving subtle hints or emotions. A third-person perspective action-adventure game based on the survival horror genre, The Last of Us Part II features elements of action and adventure. As the narrative progresses, the player traverses buildings and forests in a post-apocalyptic setting. A mutated strain of Cordyceps fungus causes humans and cannibalistic creatures to become hostile. Players can defend themselves by using guns, improvised weapons, and stealth. The player alternates between Ellie and Abby intermittently; briefly, the player controls Joel in the opening scene.
