I feel like I could get this video demonetized just because the boss’s name is Ceaseless Discharge. What kind of boss name is that?!

Anyways, today we continue our journey through Dark Souls Remastered in my first ever playthrough. I am excited to press on and find new areas that I had missed earlier. Time to go look into the fire and see what there is to see!

  1. Really enjoying this series so far. I'm surprised by how quickly you're moving along. I always enjoy watching first playthroughs of this game/series. A couple tips (long comment incoming):

    1. Weapons improve in 2 ways. Through upgrades and stats. I don't remember too much about the upgrade/ember side of things as it is slightly different between their games, and I also get a little confused. As for the stats side: weapons have a letter grade that determines how it scales with a certain stat (S, A, B, C, D, E from highest to lowest). This letter grade determines how much extra damage you get from that stat.

I don't remember the exact stats for the claymore but say a regular claymore has a B for both Strength and Dex. That means you would get a decent amount of extra dmg from leveling up your str and dex stats. You can also ascend weapons at +5 I believe to different kinds or keep it regular and get it to +15. IIRC Raw increases base dmg, but decreases the scaling with its stats, maybe to 1 letter below. But regardless of weapon and type, leveling your stats is still important. I want to say for the Claymore it is str and dex. At 40-ish they'll decrease in how much dmg you get but still good to level up.

    2. Kinda ties in to 1 but The giant blacksmith in Anor Londo has better smithing capabilities than Andre before sen's fortress.

    3. For mimics, you can attack them (easiest method) or you can look at their chain on their sides. If the chain curls around then it is a normal chest. If it faces the front/you it is a mimic. I also read somewhere that with mimics you can see them breathing but I'm not 100% on that.

    * These next things are about getting to certain locations so if you want to discover them on your own skip these. *

    4. If you go on the elevator that is used in Firelink to get back to the Gargoyles boss, there is a ledge you can drop off on to kinda close to the bottom. By doing this you can do some parkour to get up to the bird's nest from the beginning and go back to the prison, this time being more dangerous 🙂

    5. In Anor Londo, in the room you dropped the chandelier into, there is a giant painting. If you get a peculiar item you can use the painting to go to another location.

These are just some tips I could think of for right now. Hope this helps and sorry for the long post lol.

  2. I am totaly enjoyg the playthrough so far, it takes me back to my first time with From Software's games. I think it would be interesting to see you read some of the item descripitions and try to make sense of the lore puzzle they provide. But if you prefer to just go on like you are doing I think it's fine, I am having fun anyway 🙂 Cheers bro, praise the sun!

  3. Just to answer your curiosities:

Divine ember =Divine weapons: makes weapons scale with faith after +5 weapons and keeps skeletons from reviving (you're so strong that hopefully wont be a problem anymore)

Enchanted ember= (sorcerer in new londo in the jail) for Increased intelligence scaling for magic +5 weapons

In a past video I mentioned there is a bonfire hidden behind an illusion beneath the Spider Boss fight's bell room

The Occult Club you used deals some bonus damage to Holy/God/Lord enemies and scales with Faith.

Yeah there is …an item that way (near the end of the video)

  4. This video came out at the perfect moment, I literally just searched up your account so see if you posted a ds video and then immediately got the notification

  5. Been really enjoying this series. Great seeing you try out some different games too, thank you for the content

  6. His Japanese name is something like “he who is always sore”, which is perhaps more descriptive but much less poetic and unpleasantly slimy.

  7. I just wanna say thanks for doing this series. Seeing how much fun you had playing this inspired me to get elden ring and got me super jazzed about soulslikes

  8. on the opposite side of the swamp in blighttown, there's a giant tree, walk up its branch and smack a few 'walls' and you will find a chest. hit the wall behind the chest and I will leave the rest for you to find out.

  9. Thank the gods you didn't actually use the Anastacia's soul to level up your Estus flask.

  10. "But a Dark Souls, Zelda: Breath of the Wild kinda game… that would be interesting." So… like Elden Ring?

  11. This is such a great series! I've been wanting to check out Dark Souls for a while but never really could get into it fully until now. Thanks!

  12. 12:37 I once thought that too but then I realised that they actually do have eldin ring which does have more similarities to zelda breath of the wild.

  13. Those trees that look cartoonish, u can actually kill them cuz they aren’t really “trees” and u get ti go somewhere

  14. There is a Warp able bonfire hidden in between The spider boss and demon ruins, no spoilers but just attack walls in that area 🙂
Also update, my GF is at level 70 and still stuck at ornstien and smogh! lol

  15. Relyea you should reset your weapon and change it from raw to to normal bc it doesn't scale with your stats which makes it overall worse you can do this by modifying it and going to the very most right option

  16. GG dude. Now that you've beaten it, there's an intended cheese method for Ceaseless Discharge.

You missed a thing in Anor Londo. I'll put it where it is below in case you don't want to see.

On the ground level, below the beams you walked on, go look at the painting.

  17. To level your claymore you need to change it from raw back to standard you do that at the blacksmith. Then you level it to +5 using titanite shards which can be bought or farmed. Farm the knights down by firelink shrine lift for shard's. Then level up to +10 using large titanite which can be bought from the Smith in anor londo or farmed from the slugs in blighttown. I haven't found the ember to level up more than that yet. I hope this helps.

  18. The further you get into this series the less tips I have to give, great to see you improve man! Big warning though, the area and one of the bosses coming are what most souls players consider the most annoying in the entire game. There are multiple upgrade paths you can go for your weapon from here, if you just want to upgrade your weapons above what it is currently you need both the large ember and very large embers, from there you can keep ascending your weapon to +11. If you want any boss weapons you can get them by using the boss soul and a specific weapon, if you want a certain boss weapon lmk so I can tell you what weapon to upgrade. Great content man, keep up the great work. are you going to try any other soulsborne games soon?

  19. About weapon upgrades: You currently have a raw claymore instead of a standard one. The difference is that raw weapons have drastically reduced scaling and can only be upgraded to +5 but have high base damage, Standard weapons have lower base damage, but higher scaling and can be upgraded to +15. The two embers required for standard weapon upgrades are the large ember and the very large ember. Other embers such as the divine or enchanted embers give weapons scaling for faith or intelligence.

  20. It's always so exciting to see someone experience the fromsoft games for the first time. Really great series, man, keep it up!

Regarding weapon upgrades, what you need is a very large ember, which is located in new londo ruins, that place under firelink shrine.

And one more thing. You made your weapon raw, which is like the worst enchantment, as it completely removes scaling with stats. Claymore scales with strength and dex, so what you should do is either revert your enchantment, or stop upgrading those stats.

  21. The next two bosses should be easy for you. But the third one? It’s…… very different. I’m not going to spoil it. But I will say this. It’s the only boss in the entire souls series where if you die, progress is saved.

  22. The Ceaseless Discharge is a gimmick fight, the "intended" way is to run away from him after getting the loot, when you reach the end he gets his arm stuck and you hit him like 4 times and he dies, personally prefer the way you did it tho!

  23. Really fun playthrough. I hope you decide to check out some other Fromsoft games once you beat this.

  24. "A Dark Souls Breath of the Wild type game that would be interesting" IT'S CALLED ELDEN RING RELYEA 😛

  25. Literally just finished getting all achievements in dark souls 1,2, and 3 when this vid came out. All three are worth getting everything in, but if you don’t have the time, I still recommend playing all three cause they are truly amazing. (Ps. If you play dark souls 2 DO NOT GET SCHOLAR OF THE FIRST SIN ADITION. It is the much worse version of the original game.

  26. Below the floor of the 2nd bell of awakening, try hitting walls.

  27. "A Dark Souls, Breath of the Wild type game, that would be fun."

Elden Ring! Another fantastic game you should try.

  28. I can not stress how important it is to use a bow to draw out enemies from their position so you can fight them 1 on 1. Think Andre would have some?

  29. Glad to see you sticking with the series! Hope you're having a blast man. The Gold-Hemmed set is super great for fire defense, as well as magic defense and has the highest poison resistance of any armor – glad you found it useful! I usually rock some Black Knight armor going into Demon ruins and beyond, it has pretty good fire resist stats as well. As for weapons, I'm sure you have since realized, but the Occult Club deals in just that – occult damage. Sadly there is no ice damage in the game, the types are limited to magic (+ enchanted), fire (+ chaos), lightning, crystal, divine, and occult.

Also, yeah the capra demons as regular enemies are terrifying. Along with some other fun boss enemies just appearing in the world. But, soon those won't be a problem for you, just gotta keep getting stronger!

  30. Ok, lets just do this

1 for the corridor with the 5 Demons, you dont have to fight them all. You can just roll down to the side, a bit of fall damage is better then 5 mini bosses

2 the crystal ember is for the blacksmith in New londo, you can't give that to Andre.

3 the divine wepons are a tricky one, they do spil damage and they are OP we you go in the catacombs, not in damage, but in effect.
You see, when you kill a skeleton in the catacombs, it can rebuild itself up, but if you kill him with the a wepon with Divine infusion, it will die and not rebuild itself, its really useful against a boss that you'll fight later on in the game
