In today’s short I talk about how Ash’s Dragonite sucks and has been losing within Pokemon Journeys battles like Ash’s Dragonite vs Cynthia’s Spiritomb, Ash’s Dragonite vs Paul’s Garchomp & Ash’s Dragonite vs Raihan’s Flygon!
Pokémon Journeys: The Series is the eighth part of the anime series. It features all of the regions from the main-series games, including the Generation VIII games Pokémon Sword and Shield. This series shares its Japanese name with the original series when the anime first premiered in 1997, and is officially labeled with “2019”, the year this series started in, for disambiguation. This new series focuses on the two protagonists Ash Ketchum and Goh, along with their partners Pikachu and Cinderace. It also features a young girl named Koharu (Chloe), who has a Yamper, and her father, Professor Sakuragi (Cerise), who runs a laboratory in Vermilion City. It features all the regions that have appeared in the Pokémon games, from Kanto to Galar. Pokémon from each region will also appear while Ash is pursing Leon in the Pokemon World Coronation Series (PWC) and Goh is chasing his dream in Project Mew.

Oh for crying out loud🤦🏽♂️. Big deal, other Ash’s Pokémon did way more training and still lost more and battled less than Dragonite no comparison. And it’s Cynthia a trainer or Champion rather that Ash is facing for the first time. And IMO Ash should have called back Dragonite to preserve it for later. But its the setup that matters i guess

Dragonite needs more of a Digimon design to it so it can have some Armor on it cause Ash Dragonite as just been getting bodied & don't forget it got taken out 2 by the Gigantanax Pokemon 2!!!
Not that lost to Cynthia with all Ash he could have easily just recalled and saved it for later. Then it lost to a dragon specialist who is champion level. Lost to Paul's Garchomp and we all know Paul only keep the best of the best Pokemon. So it's lost to some high class pokemon.
But for the memes Ash is the proud owner of the weakest Dragonite

Nah, I'm just preparing for Ash to bring back his old Pokemon, which would mean Cynthia's battle will be Gengar and Dragonite last fight.
Which would be awesome for old fans, but suck for people who loves Ash's Journeys Team.

The issue is the writers don’t know how to allow ashes Pokemon to share the spotlight . Torterra started losing more when infernape became the golden child , goodra started losing more when ash greninja became the star, and now it’s happening again with dragonite now that lucario is the main squeeze for this generation .

Well in my opinion Ash’s Dragonite is pretty good, sure it had a few losses but hasn’t everybody in the anime even the champions? But Gible and Osawott 😂 oh man their battle style was garbage, they weren’t Ash’s strongest Pokémon. Gible lost against Darkai despite being able to do damage. But Ash’s Dragonite, Noivern and Goodra they were tanked, the Bide attack, the boomburst and that Draco Meteor though. Dragonite took out Haxorus with that move
Yea I had so many high hopes for this power house. As of late is it’s been a disappointment. The writer have given up on it for fans supporting lucario.

This is the problem of the fans when Ash catches a strong Pokémon if it loses there are too many reactions and are frustrated. These Pokémon take hits and do not win a flawless victory they work as a team.
What if Ash actually uses all ace fan favorite 6 Pokémon Team and 5 of them went down?? Most likely the reactions for the 5 Pokémon is “done dirty, ugly battle, not trained enough, not respected”

It’s because dragonite got insane wins already and some of ash’s other Pokémon need to shine
Just because I want to defend why ash left dragonite out when it was asleep. Assuming that this anime battle strategy is loosely following the games, switching out dragonite at the time would have also been a bad decision. Dragonite would still be asleep, and either of his best counters (pikachu and gengar) would have likely had the same outcomes happen (gengar losing to 1 or 2 sucker punch and pikachu to destiny bond). This would mean that ash would still be in this bad spot where dragonite is made unusable and he would have lost two of his Pokémon to a Pokémon he didn’t really understand. Really he actually made the right decision trying to get dragonite to wake up.

Ash's Dragonite does not suck. Ash's Torterra does not suck. Just because a pokemon loses (and against high level pokemon from top trainers at that) it makes them suck??? Stupid logic. Ash's Dragonite is one of the most lovable pokemon ever, she is a tough battler but she has a great personality and she is reliable.
