    Honestly, I dont want to talk smack about an anime this early but the animation and design isn't great, it feels like a fan animation and some scenes they just basically rotoscoped the game and color blending is pretty rough. Hopefully this is nothing but a promotional edits and the real footage is set to be shown in October

    The game looks smoother somehow, and the anime face looks bit too pointy for me personally , but that's just preference.
    I wish nothing but the best for the anime and I cant wait for it to release so I can hear 9s' screams again.

    Edit: Didn't mean smooth as in framerate, just the artstyle.

    From what i see, there's lack of detail on their clothes but it's fine for me. I want to feel the more depression in this version through their voice, expression, and gesture.

    I think the only issue is how would they make the more game incorporating bits in the anime, cause this game does shit that anime can't do. Otherwise it looks pretty decent

    Wasn't expecting a 1to1 adaptation. I don't think the story & experience crafted in the game can be fully translated to anime, in the end it was written to be a videogame, so I would've loved an original story BUT I love Nier and the world Yoko Taro crafted so I'm excited af. The animation looks insane and we have the game's VA returning for their roles 🤌🏼♥️

    glad it finally got a trailer BUT it feels too rigid, the softness of the game looks actually better. Either need to change how its drawn or change how its shaded

    mfs want picture perfect animation 💀💀💀💀 play the game then and stop complaining.. for animation standards this is absolutely top tier, the animation is smooth and the 3d movement is on point. i cant see an adaptation getting any better than this (without starving the animators of course)

    Although I am happy for Nier getting its own anime adaptation, this is exactly the kind of low cost/low effort fan service CGI show i was expecting.
    Hope to be proven wrong but i doubt it will bring much on terms of quality and production values

    Everyone! I let you know that Yoko Taro said he gonna chance the story so that it will fit in the anime format. Because he said in the interview of Aniplex online fest he doesn't want to repeat the same story. So it will be what different. And he also said If you don't like the nier anime different story, he will take the blame.

    This prolly wont affect me the way the game did but I hope that it's not a bad anime
