Yesterday a report popped up detailing a remake that is in development for the PS5. The remake itself is a strange one since it came out only 5 years ago. The Nintendo Switch has been known to occasionally get an impossible port and the latest one has impressed reviewers.

It's just sour sour grapes from little Jimmy Ryan and Sony with the whole Activison/Blizzard acquisition situation. You know, maybe if they didn't squander and waste resources on completely unnecessary remasters they could have parlayed those assets into making a good competing product to Call of Duty.

I think it's time for a Gran Turismo 7 remaster soon. Maybe even consider a God of War Ragnarök remake sometime in December too while we're at it. I mean that game will already be multiple weeks old by that point.

Horizon probably need a remake, complete with refactoring the level design, dialog blocking and progression, but it will be a remaster.

Good to see you covered the latest retro achievements addition, it’s just a shame it can’t be done through the series systems with retroarch. That’s what I have my emulation set up on. The PS2 games run nicely on that, but now I have to hope my laptop can handle it and I can link without too much frustration.
I haven't purchased a PS5 yet and I feel like Sony is just providing me with more reasons not to purchase one. They're stringing together quite the series of missteps in 2022.
Regulators: Sony you are dominating the home console market. You can buy every studio you want.

Microsoft is in for some trouble this gen to imo Series X/S seems so skippable this gen vs the ps5 tells another story they must wait for Sony to release a pro model first before they do or else they will be to far behind

There is already a remaster of legacy of kain soul reaver in the works.
An engine change is akin to remaking the whole thing and Halo is so borked that it actually needs to do such drastic measures.
At least with TLOU, the sequel had made so many technical and mechanical improvements and it was technically a two generation old game that a reasonable argument could have been made (not that it seems like that they went all the way with it to make that a solid argument.) Remaking Horizon kinda seems like a joke. Supposedly bc there is an adaptation in the works and want it in the zeitgeist I guess. Just make a bundle and PS5 patch maybe?

Last of Us was strange enough, Horizon not only being available on the system but having a PS5 performance patch makes it ridiculous to have a remake. If it's already available on the platform I feel like anyone who buys the remake is stupid. Regardless of whether or not I'd buy a remake of Ocarina of Time even though it's already available on Switch. XD

These companies need to start taking more risks and make new games. This whole remake thing is getting old. Sequels are ok if it is a continuous story.
