  1. Do not forget that Dark Souls 3 is finished, Elden Ring has alot of patches and balancing yet to release.

  2. Tell me if I'm wrong but I think ER pvp has almost zero depth. Rolls are way too forgiving & it's mostly just game of reaction time, mind-numbingly so.

  3. 7:34 "Steel actually playes on the gamecube"

I'd say ds3 is my prefered pvp by far. The outcheesing in ds3 is primarily by actual exploits and glitches (other than stinky murky) and r1 spam is way less aids to deal with than l2 spam.
Netcode could be a lot better though.
You can eat 5 r1s in one spike and insta lose from the stupid ass net.
The swaps in ds3 felt more meaningful, the fashion was a trillion times better, the spells sucked balls for pvp (I hate mages so that's a boon for me. I hate the pewpew from miles away and never engage in combat aspect) and weapons felt more viable. Also duping wasn't so much a problem and the community wasn't full of mainstream idiots that are all "poke evil, buff carian slicer though" or whatever dumb shit the "community" is carrying on about these days.
The maps were less shit for invasions and the arena was better too.

I could go on and on about ds3, but I still wish ER was good. Jump attacks in theory are great, but turned terrible with high ass damage and low endlag. Ash of Wars are good additions to a players moveset but are way too high damage and low endlag and startup. Mages are way to fucking strong considering they don't have to get near you to destroy you and now their melee options are STRONGER than a pure strength build's melee options. Dual wielding is lovely, I love the moveset of dual wielded weapons, but wow is it way too strong (got nerfed, but you still don't see single weopon and shield which says a lot about how bad single weapon is).
Oh and don't get me started on the vomit pool that pve is…

  4. Dark souls 3, to be fair ds3 is a complete game and elden is not. Ds3 hyper armor poise is better than Elden ring passive poise, giving people the free dom to swap around weapon arts really made ppl pick the most toxic combinations and really empowered gankers, the lack of combos really incentivized more damage from single attacks, which can be very broken, why is there only three parry animations and they are all the same speed? Ds3 promoted skill and experience which helped made any scenario possible to win from, elden ring promotes relying on weapons and spells to be spammed

  5. Everytime i go 3v3 it always goku vs vegeta throwing ki blast
I love ds3 more but if every skill in elden ring has FKIN COOLDOWN it would be better

  6. They touched up axes/hammers, I was really looking forward to some buff and they did it. One more step towards a great pvp.

  7. I can't keep this short but I'll try. In a nutshell, Ds3 over Er only because they're both goofy af but DS3 has more eventful encounters, it's very complicated but this is the simplest way I could put it, your agency in a PVP session is huge, in ER you're basically a maidenliness runt either getting ganked or ganking or having your GPU assaulted. If y'all can give it a quick read further then go for it.
I'd say Ds3 because it's fully realised but it is still quite easy to exploit some unfixed mechanics and those are not getting fixed. I still play Ds3 and I actually started Ds3 PVP post ER lol, so it definitely has a couple of things over er's but I'm 100% certain it won't age to be the same, they need to address buff stacking in ER rn, firstly. It's so easy to one shot in this game because of it, idk if everyone has this opinion but the balancing when it comes to stacking defensive vs offensive buffs, the defensive ones(Yes I'm aware of fortification spells) are underwhelming cause you can't stack fortification and say any cured meat or body buff basically and then you have the talismans which I don't understand why are so dog shit in pvp(The drake talismans) while you got white mask+Raptor cloak+dual bleed what have you+claw talisman+Lord of blood's exultation, then you have RKR and man there is literally so much more. For a bulky setup you go 60 vigor, spray perfume, cast golden vow if you got faith, the physics that increases damage negation and either crimson bubble tear or the one that boosts max hp and then you got two talisman slots to keep your hp the highest possible and it cannot keep up. The skill ceiling will always be brought down by easy to use yet effective tools. So eventually people usually look for the least amount of effort possible for whatever desired outcome and the game does have some questionably accessible stuff. I can say a lot more I don't like about Er but there's also a lot wrong with DS3.

Er doesn't have the desert pyromancer set :[ ER male and female is basically type A and Type B[There are some legitimate lore reasons tho I’m not even joking 😂], They dropped the ball on the walking animations for Type B too, some extra sliders would be nice XD. They gotta get rid of armour pieces boosting stats too , it's obvious why.. Still, I got 400 hours on DS3 and well…2k on ER. Yes I'm insane.

  8. The 3 things that annoys menthe most with ER PvP:

    1. Passive poise is not fun in PvP imo, hyperarmor all the way.
    2. No 2-hit combos means less combo setups and more passive play over all.
    3. Spells and huge AoE weapon arts are too strong and spammable.

  9. Offtopic but I got the top rank in the spirit ash category after dueling against a BHS + Fingerprint + Fire's deadly sin + bloodflame scumbag so I hope you're all having a good day as well

  10. To many thing in Elden ring can be spam with very low risk
There is not much way to punish those spammers
It make the skill diff smaller
For new players it is more easy to entry but for a ds3 player, you just see noobs running around and spamming shit

  11. Dark souls 3 actually had a poise system with trading and every weapon and I mean every weapon was viable all the way up to 90% skill ceiling where it's nothing but laps G9 wannabes and Chase the bro fanboys, not to mention the most valuable part that made dark souls 3 the best souls game. "Spacing" a thing Elden ring barely even has since everything is just jump attacks and running attacks anymore. I'd say fundamentally and overall dark souls 3 no matter what they do to Elden Ring will always be better due to the fundamental engine the game is ran off of.

  12. Honestly if they can figure out how to balance pvp so that any level can invade or summon any level that would be so rad. I know it’s a pipe dream but if they can figure that out somehow and get rid of the meta 125 it would make pvp so much more interesting for me.

I’m sick of having to be forced into a certain level that shafts any build that isn’t a quality build with the rest dumped into vigor and endurance.

  13. Ds3>elden ring but Ds2 better than both 😂 it'll never be able to be experienced again tho lol

  14. I prefer Elden Ring because they patched out a ton of the DS3 bugs. I’m so happy to see Estus Cancel gone.

  15. Wasn't all the most broken shit in DS3 added in DLC? Same with Ice Rapier in DS2. Kind of worrying..

  16. Elden ring. In almost every way. Dark souls 3 pvp is the game that made me almost just drop the series as a whole lol.

  17. Some people just like to live in the past and no matter the leaps and bound elden ring has actually had ,the patches and hit fixes ,dlc updates they are always going to be those that will never be pleased and that’s just facts no matter how the game has significantly changed for the better

  18. Elden ring pvp is soooo much better. Screw the competitiveness, screw the balance, screw the ds3 babies that defend that game as if it was their life, I don’t care. Ds3 pvp was watered down af. All weapons having the same 2 hit combo made people spam rbs more than ever and the lack of poise and lower physical damage resistance of armor made every character feel the same. Rolls were harder to punish. And let’s not forget the fact that ds3 turned the beloved game of chess that was ds1 into a running simulator.

Every update gets elden ring closer and closer to the near perfection that was ds1 and I love it.
