The ARTEMIS email in Elisabet's office from Charles Ronson said that GAIA was only going to bring back the primary and secondary species (essential ones?) herself and that the tertiary species would have to wait for future humans to bring back. Thanks to Ted deleting APOLLO, that never happened. So, presumably those animal DNA samples are still in storage somewhere waiting for someone to eventually bring them back.
The emails in the gift shop were written before the news article you read beforehand. The park was transferred from the USA to the State of Wyoming but thanks to the the scientists of the Claw-back (like Elisabet), they fixed things and turned Yellowstone back to its former glory as a national park. The article also mentions that FAS was "providing funding for as yet unspecified new facilities." Presumably, whatever Firebreak was.
Also, the one thing that Ourea said you could do to improve your credibility with the werak that you didn't do was to help her friend Sekuli. You can still do this quest so go back in the For the Werak side quest in your journal and find the details. Also there are a couple more side quests and some errands you can do, separate from the Thunder's Drum main quest.

The worst character in horizon is Ted Farro, Blevins doesn`t even comes close to him. But Blevins is someone we can relate to, because we know someone like him.

I am really enjoying the playthrough. Watched every episode to this point and will continue to do so. I think they viewer numbers will rise, if not now then surely when you start the second game. Because it is even better than Zero Dawn in every way

You can actually find the 3 hunters again outside that 1st Carja fort next to Nora land. In one of your early videos you read a Carja document that mentioned how Banuk believe the reason there are so few buildings from the "Old Ones" is becuase they were not strong enough to survive the environment. But now it is reavealed there are so few buildings is because it was a Wild Life Preserve where life could thrive and people were not allowed to hunt or build too much. Such a beatiful concept and something else that is beautiful is that in the early text you read this episode it actually mentioned that "as the world claws back so too does Yellowstone" so it sounds that a lot of people felt like you did and while set backs are inevitable it sounds like the majority of humans tried to do the right thing and worked to restore Yellowstone to what it was intended to be.

The reason why we only see a limited amount of animal species is not just because of lost samples, but also because of Ted Faro. The animals you see in this game were pioneer species. The plan was once the new generation of humans finished learning in Apollo and learn to be better caretakers of the earth,, they were to take over the terraforming system and reintroduce the rest of the animal species into the world. Since Faro purged Apollo that never happened and the rest of the animals are zygotes being stored.
