Is Spiderman’s swinging slow? In anticipation of Spiderman 2 I reviewed marvels spiderman and spiderman miles morales and said that both Peter Parker and Miles Morales swinging was slow compared to other spiderman swinging. You disagreed.

  1. It is slow. That’s why they made it a point to mention that the swinging is much faster since it’s only for PS5. Even the makers know that it’s slow

  2. can't you just swing with both LT and RT (L2 and R2 in PS) at the same time to swing faster? in amazing Spider-Man 2 you can do this

  3. I remember swinging so fast in web of shadows that I’d literally entered into unloaded chunks of map, causing the game to either freeze to load in the map and events, or it would crash the whole console.

  4. You're right! Insomniac's webslinging is slow. If they combined their swinging with web of shadows and spiderman 2's precision, they'd nail it. It'd be hard to learn but that should be the point of playing as spiderman.

  5. I remember when I hadn’t played Spider-Man PS4 is a while and I decided to play it and I was expecting the swinging to be a lot faster than it actually was. Swinging is still good but I thought it would feel faster to swing through the city

  6. I thinks it’s because the world requires a lot more power so they kinda had to slow the swinging speed down a bit I’m sure part 2 being a ps5 only game will make it far faster especially with the wing suit

  7. No, stop coping. You really are just bad at swinging. And there is an insane skill cap. Yes, you can swing from point A to point B relatively easy using basic mechanics. But I bet you could NEVER make it look as sick as real Spiderman traversing. Which is entirely possible. There are so many nuances to how your character moves and interacts with certain things, like swinging through a fire escape platform by running at it from the wall.

  8. Tbh the “non capped” gameplay looked exactly the same as the “capped”

  9. bro said ‘I want unrealistic momentum’😂 n having more speed wouldn’t create that big of a ‘skill ceiling’ at all either. Web of shadows is built around unrealistic swinging speed due to how dead n plain the whole city looks. Whereas Insomniac combines the world building n swinging mechanics to compliment each other giving a very authentic n fun feelin because u feel like ur actually swinging thru New York. I never minded the swinging speed due to their being multiple things to increase it but having better speed would be better jus not too much like web of shadows
