  1. These are so fun to watch. Thank you for continuing, I hope you are having at least as good a time playing as I am watching. 🥰

  2. FYI on regular enemies and some regular bosses (like early or mid game bosses if you went into ng+) the spell Climax could do near or over 2,000 damage with the right setup! And you can also do that much damage to other players with that spell too! 😈 Many players have have lost their temper to getting one shot by other players with the hex Climax. It's quite evil!
But of course all the dlc bosses and enemies have EXTREME magic resistance and elemental resistances, so sadly hexes, miracles, pyromancies AND sorceries are all kind of weak in the dlc's. Not useless, just severely hampered.

  3. aoe heal miracles would be handy in this boss fight, i dont understand why dont u use it, also Emma would be loved you to use it to heal her. you have some faith for it

  4. It's less that you're not leveled well and more that in the dic, everything has really high magical defense.

  5. I know you don't always do them, but i bet a lot of us would love to see you do a Vaati DS2 Lore Reaction from you. It's an amazing storyline! Really have enjoyed this DS2 series!

  6. You actually can get up to where Alsanna is, but it is fairly time-consuming. The Charred Loyce Knights down at the Old Chaos have a small chance of dropping Loyce Souls. Collecting them and talking to Alsanna gets you the Loyce Knight armour set at intervals of 10 souls, and at 50 souls you can get up where she is and get some more lore and her soul.
Loyce Souls can also drop for you when you're in another player's world, and in fact, they have a higher drop chance that way. DS2 online isn't that active though, so being summoned isn't really a great farming strategy.
I've collected 50 of them once, and it took hours of grinding, so I can't really recommend it unless you really want to do it.

  7. ma'am, massive respect towards you, i quitted this shitty dlc cz my time wasnt nearly worth it the suffering i would have to waste on here (luckily you dont have to beat this boss nor complete the permablizzard with the ice-horses to platinate this game), but damn, someone needs to be life imprisoned for creating this whole dlc

  8. Ah Burnt Ivory King…my favourite Bossfight in all of gaming.
Dark Souls II with all its flaws has conquered my heart little by little. It is an aquired taste for sure and I cant put my finger on it what it is that brings me back to this game. But it does and it feels like coming home. Very few games have that effect on me.
    Good job grinding through! xD
I know it can be a chore, and there is a "little" more in this dlc that I dare you not to skip. It scars us all. But thats Dark Souls.^^
Ah and before I forget: you might want to check out all the vendors in Majula again. There is one in particulare that you have neglected, since you first talked to him. He might or might not have something of interesst to you.
Anyway looking forward to the next one. Bye!

  9. You should go back to Royal Sorcerer Navlaan. Talk to him as a human and hollow. Also look over the gear he sells. Also replace the 2nd Dragon Ring with the 3rd Dragon Ring!

  10. The Ivory King was one of my favourite boss fights, and my favourite music from the soundtrack too! Fortunately for me I had to experience it many, many more times than you did. The joy of dropping down and running in with my long-necked friends never faded!

  11. Congratulations, Amber! You just beat the third DLC first! 😆👍

The Ivory King is (Lore-wise) THE most powerful boss in Dark Souls 2, and arguably the entire Souls trilogy. This guy was so awesome, and so powerful that he built a genuinely prosperous kingdom in Eleum Loyce, HEALED a Fragment of Manus of The Abyss, and when the Flame of Chaos began leaking through the seals he'd placed to contain it, he was strong enough to almost conquer it by himself. He was also WISE enough to have his wife (said Fragment) seal the entire kingdom in ice just in case he failed.

There are only a handful of characters in the entire franchise that even approach that level of Badass Gigachad.

  12. So that coffin you found by that bonfire by the door… you'll definitely want to explore that with Emma at some point. But you know, take your time getting to that.

  13. Congratulations on finishing what is probably the hardest content in the game for a caster. The other DLCs still have high magic defense, but its not as high as this DLC's.

  14. Oh my god. I never realized you could kill the golems while they were still statues. Like five playthroughs in and this whole time I always thought you had to bring them to life to be able to kill them.

I do enjoy how while most rulers in the Souls series are at best complicated figures, the Ivory King is just a cool hero who loved his monster wife.

  15. I feel like Tunic is the perfect game for Amber with how good she is with puzzles. Hopefully she takes a look at it after this playthrough is done.

  16. amber and emma have rekindled my love for ds 2 and makes me want to play SotFS which i never played. i played alot of ds2 regular on 360 and i didnt expect the dlcs to add so many interesting quirks like that fucking white phantom invader or the one that hides as a barrel lol.
