urea is the best ingredient i have ever used for dry skin. i use uremol 10%, urisec 22%, eucerin 5% and 10%, and bio oil dry skin gel. i also have a 40% urea cream for its tissue softening effect. all are used for different purposes. my skin has never been in such good shape before. very impressed with this engredient .
Can I use 10% urea on my face? I already use the Eucerin one with 5% but feel I need more hydration (I already use occlusives over it) Can the skin on the face tolerate that concentration?

I had really bad eczema. A doctor suggested me an ointment with Urea BP 10% and I've used it twice a day for a week. After a week my eczema was gone. Since then I have never had issues with eczema. But I still sometimes use it instead of using a moisturiser. It works way better than a moisturiser for me.

For people using Eucerin, the advanced repair cream in a tub has 30% urea. I used it on my toes and feet and it caused burns and peeling around my toes. Urea needs to be used with sunscreen.
Dr. Dray, please help me. I recently purchased Eucerin Roughness Relief Cream (tub version). I'm using it to help treat KP and hyperpigmentation on an area on my body. Unfortunately, it started to break my skin out really badly — really, really badly. Is this happening because of sweat and friction? Should I continue using it? I live in a very humid environment.

Cetaphil has two urea products. They include Cracked Skin Repair Lotion and Moisturizer for Rough & Bumpy. They are 10% and 20% concentrations. They are appear to be repackaged replacements to their discontinued Excipial line.
