  1. I love how Matilda replies to almost every comment. it's so great to be in such a communal and inviting comment section, especially during this time where everyone is freaking out and loosing our minds whilst staying at home.

  2. I would have to say just listening to your videos is quite relaxing! Your voice is so soothing. 🙂

  3. To relax in my balcony enjoying the smell of fresh lavender, whilst having a cup of tea/coffee and listening to an audiobook.
As for exercise ideas, I find that the Rituals Cosmetics YouTube yoga tutorials are great.

  4. I’m sure ingredients may be hard to come by nowadays, but there are so many YouTube videos on how to make great desserts and foods with few ingredients when you’re stuck at home. Cooking always helps me!

  5. I did an entire room purge. I take baths every other day because i get stressed pretty easily…so I love just relaxing and watching YouTube in my tub. I also bake a lot more, it’s so nice 🙂

  6. My self care, workout for one hour seven times a week, take a looooong hot shower, face mask, skin care, YouTube, snack, Netflix, sleep.

  7. This was so lovely, Matilda. I struggle a lot with my anxiety and your video was so soothing. Thanks a bunch <3 Oh and my mama gifted me Where the Crawdads sing so I'll definitely get to reading that now that I have the time!

  8. My Cat! He has been a good little cuddle bug lately ♥️ I've been cooking and playing animal crossing to pass the time in quarantine

  9. These are all great self care ideas, i usually find random music playlists on YouTube that sets the mood I want to be in. It's also a great way to discover songs and artists you arent familiar with

  10. I love how you spoke about how self care can range from things that are (I feel like this word might sound negative but it is the only word I can think to describe) indulgence to healthy habits that are hard to swallow.
I struggle with accepting taking time for myself since I grew up in an environment that deemed self care as selfish, Definitely now I try to be more open to the idea of "me time" or making decisions that will benefit me long term.
My self care routine is more about the rewarding feeling of productivity alongside relaxing afterwards. And to other people it might be about completely relaxing and allowing time to re charge.
    Selfcare ideas:
    Rewarding
    ___________
Open your windows and put on new bed sheets or wash your current ones
Cook a healthy but delicious meal, or a meal that is sentimental to you 🙂
Do a workout you've always wanted to try / run an extra set amount of time
Learn something new on an instrument or draw something challenging / try out a new art or makeup style.

    Hard to swallow
    _______________
Have a tough conversation you've needed to have with someone
Cut off a toxic or manipulative person(s)
Make a change you've always wanted to if you have the means to do so; eg, start working out if you're healthy enough physically to do so, take up an instrument or sport, join a club or buy a book you've always wanted to read

  11. I grew up watching professional wrestling and I still watch it to this day, when I feel down or stressed out I'll find some old episodes of WCW or WWF and they take me back to when I was a little girl watching with my dad. ❤

  12. I love to daydream. I've been looking at floor plans online and even created a Pinterest board. It feels good to go to my fantasy home in my mind.

  13. When I can't sleep I like to listen to a lecture by Dr. Chuck Missler. His voice is very soothing and because he is talking about the Bible I feel like God is protecting me while I sleep.

  14. Hey…Matilda I would like to know how u are keeping those candle wax in an even level in the jars……would like to see it in one of your videos

  15. Just watching/listening to this video helped me relax jeez why is your voice so calming?

  16. Matilda, can i ask you something, my moisturizer has an spf of 24. Do I need to purchase another sunscreen or will this suffice? I live in India FYI. I do spend a lot of time near my window and full on exposure upto an hour. And do i need to apply sunscreen on every exposed part?

  17. One of my favorite and quick things to ground myself and calm down is I look up at the sky. I don’t mean glance. I mean throw my head back so I can only see the sky or clouds and I look at it carefully. It always lifts my mood

  18. This is the second time when I saw this video, and now I got it! Thanks soooo much for this! When this quarantine starded, my HOLE DAILY ROUTINE has ,,disappeared". This video gave me motivation! Thanks Matilda!
(hope U will make more videos with skin-care, baths and like this one. I also like the packing with me videos…)

P.S: All your videos are great!

  19. Relaxing! I love colouring and listening to music. Oh yes, and reading 💜

  20. Jigsaw puzzles! I used to spend hours as a kid with my grandparents completing them. I stopped for a while and only recently got back into them. Being stuck at home helped of course. I like choosing a particularly beautiful or fun one, put on a podcast, and concentrate on just that. I could do it for hours. Some people meditate, I work on puzzles 🙂

  21. I’ve discovered that reading children’s books is very relaxing ,just finished Pinocchio and A Thousand and One Nights .Highly recommend it when stressed.

  22. I remember, last year when i saw this video and i enjoyed it soo much, like now. I remember when i made BBQ with my family and all the happy moments that happened to me while i was stuck in my countryside, in my house… I have to say this!

I miss those times, even they all happened last year. I hope that this year i will be that productive, like i was back then…

    Sorry for my bad eng!

  23. Hi everyone reading the comments! My tips and tricks for exercise aka when I’m lazy and i don’t want to do it:
I have a video I always love watching, it’s an 80’s aerobic exercise routine. it’s SO much fun, and it doesn’t feel like a big hassle to do every couple of days.
You can just look up “80’s aerobic exercise video” in the search bar to find ones for your preference and lifestyle. ❤️✨
