  1. This made my afternoon! I sat here having my Fortnum & Mason Royal Blend tea and enjoyed every minute of your lovely video. I have been very lucky in my life to have been to London 10 times but
never at Christmas, so this was fun! Thanks so much for sharing London with us! My mother was
English and this made me think of her.

  2. Yum yum and so pretty. We the lower incomers who can not effort , can only watch this from our low income home and drool. 😂 bla bla bla $$$$$

  3. In Canadian dollars (currency on New Year’s Day) that would have cost us $395.00, well worth the experience 😉 thanks for sharing. I look forward to watching more of your videos Hanna from London.

  4. So lovely, no mint on my sandwich please, the scones look good with the raisins, hurray for mince pie. Cream first.🎉

  5. It is very interesting to see these grand hotels and the inner workings. I lived and worked in Las Vegas US for 30 yrs. My family had an architectural millwork business. Hotel interiors were the majority of our contracts. No two we alike. The amount of goings-on behind the scenes is staggering. Like a beehive only noisier.
Having loads of money is an interesting concept for someone who has not been in that position. Me. I think I could learn to live with it if I absolutely had to lol
Happy and healthy 2024 to All

  6. I've never really wanted to go to London, but after discovering your channel, I want so badly to go. Lots of little bucketlist experiences now ❤

  8. Just beautiful like being in luxury heaven…….love the decorations, The Ritz interior, the piano playing at the background , love the whole Christmas atmosphere of the place. Just a perfect treat. Truly worth to experience it. Great work, Hannah.

  9. I had afternoon tea at the Chateaux Lake Louise this fall. It did not occur to me to ask for seconds for a bag to go. I hope that I'd an option in Canada.

  10. Who told you that you can not go to the Plaza Hotel 🏨 in New York City 🏙. I’m from New York City and I don’t believe that I ever heard about that before. I will check that out 🤨🧐💭🤔

  11. Following the very sudden death of my 11 year old granddaughter a while back, we were all still in shock and utterly dreading Christmas, just four months later. Her two younger siblings were still bewildered and distressed, showing very mixed feelings about the fast approaching Christmas season. I really didn’t know what I could do to help my other beloved grandchildren, or my daughter through this. Wea all wanted them to have a good time, even though we knew they were missing her so much, but we the adults, were secretly wanting Christmas to be cancelled. Then suddenly a thought began to grow in my mind.

We couldn’t possibly make things the same as they had always been. How could we, having this huge break to our hearts? So maybe we needed to do something that would not make a doomed effort to take away from our longing to have our beautiful girl with us, but to do something that we had never done before, to change the family rituals a little.

So my beloved husband and I (he passed away 2022), dragged all the money together we could, sold things, and broke open a £2 coins savings pot we had, to enable me to take our daughter, son in law and the two children to London.

Bless my husband, to make this trip possible, he stayed at home on the pretext of him needing to stay behind to look after the dogs, (our other grown up daughter was at home and could/would have done this gladly). But every penny helped to make this trip possible for the children.

Firstly We took the children to Harrods to see Father Christmas. This was wonderful. The children barely spoke a word as they were totally in awe. They were given gifts by Father Christmas, and were treated so sweetly by his ‘supporting staff’. Everyone was so kind.

We then saw the Christmas procession, that did a circuit, starting at one side of Harrods and finally ending at the back of the store. Again they were mesmerised by the beautifully put together event,

Finally, we went to the wonderful Claridges for afternoon tea. This really was a fantastic experience.

As it had been so close to the date we were going, when I tried to book, it was difficult to get a table. However, following a brief conversation with one of the managers, explaining why we were hoping to come for tea there, he immediately found a booking for us.

On our arrival he came over to greet us, and I promise, there was nothing too much trouble.

On regular occasions throughout this extraordinary tea, my daughter and I spoke, yet without a word, simply by glancing at one another, saying how much we knew her girl/our girl would have loved this.

We were all truly delighted and grateful to Claridges. Their staff and especially the particular manager mentioned above, for all their kindness and willingness to help us in any way possible. The children kept saying they were like a prince and princess !

We took the little ones once more a couple of years later, giving us time to prepare. We were so shocked by being greeted by the same manager at this amazing place, who actually remembered us, and the reason for our repeated Christmas visit. It was truly lovely, and made the children feel so special again, which was exactly what we hoped for.

I would certainly recommend afternoon tea at Claridges, or The Ritz for any special occasion, including in remembrance of a loved one no longer here. Indeed that is what I hope to do one day in remembrance of my dear, dear late husband, who because of his selfless character, he enabled our beloved grandchildren to hold onto their love of Christmas.

    Best wishes to you all.

    Teresa.
