   "if the bag is well made"…for that price, it better be well made, but Chanels quality has decreased, while their prices skyrocket, which is why, some of the vintagebags are in better nik than a newer bag. Especially the quality of the hardwear has decreased

   I think he is extremely respectful of this brand and looks at it as a piece of history and art.

   I do not think that one should save for 4 years for a bag. That seems preposterous to me. Perhaps it may be out of your reach for now. There are many pieces of art that are not meant for the mainstream. Chanel is one of them.

   I think to pay homage to chanel then you should use the bag the way it was meant to be used! Utilitarian! Use it!! But perhaps certain pieces may be more special and you would like to preserve them. I completely understand that aspect. But this brand is not for everyone.

   Thanks for this video! I really enjoyed it! I don´t own any Chanel bag, but have just discovered the Dior New Lock which is totally me. My collector gene made me buy three different versions in a row. One of them is a patent bag that has seen better days, but still is stunning in its own way (and came to me at an amazing price.) With this one- for the first time- I´ve come to the point where I do use a bag without much fear of destroying it. It already had a life and now shares mine giving me a lot of joy. The other two are babied inside their dustbags, taken out only for cuddles so far.

   I always enjoy and appreciate your commentary on Chanel especially when you dialogue about the 2.55, I could listen to you speak for hours. I debated commenting, because I felt so sure that Coco would just use her bag and believe her design of the bag was both a beautiful marriage of function and design. I can’t imagine a busy woman designing a bag that required that much care. I opted to comment once hearing you acknowledge the same “Coco didn’t care”. I love my reissue, I use it respectfully, but I use it and enjoy it, I almost feel like I have to, I think it’s a great bag. Am I crazy to think, if the back pocket wasn’t meant to be used Coco would have stocked it closed, don’t get me wrong, I wouldnt put keys or and apple in the back, but certainly a passport or my phone without a case. I use my bag and always appreciate its history and wonder “How would Coco use it?” It’s my favorite part of owning this bag. Happy New Year! Thanks so much for the video.

   I just took your tip and took the chain outside of the 227 to keep outside the bag – laid flat with chain away from the leather in its box – unfortunately I don’t have a white classic felt bag – it came with a black drawstring only (2010 -13x model) not sure if the boutique just didn’t have one. Its preowned in blush pink lambskin. I just inspected a slight leather chafing in the exact place of folding in the chain – so thank you for preventing more imperfections to my beauty .

    I keep a couple bandaids in the 'secret love letter' Pocket. Since they are small and thin they don't cause any damage and hey, sometimes we need a bandaid! Always good to have! Great video!

    Great video, thank you for taking the time for being so detailed. I am doing everything you outlined with my medium classic double flap. However I stand it up once it is settled in the dust bag. Do you recommend laying it on a pillow instead? Also, I have a Miroir single flap from 19 it did not come with a dust bag. How do you suggest I store that?

    I don't quite yet have my own Chanel bag, but I do own a very nice Christian Louboutin sweet charity bag in leopard print. This helped me with caring for that bag, as they are similar in aesthetic and design. Thank you!!!!!!
