Shalimar in the heat is divine, in all concentrations. Like Habanita and Le Lion, but applied as pure perfumes.
And this summer I also wear Paris-Paris (fantastic layering with Coco noir), N°5, N°19 (EDP), Soir de Lune (Sisley), Coco (EDT).
I actually like my heavy rose scents in summer, I likes the heavy oppressive scents, I know I am the minority but I think heavy florals shine in heat, i also live in Texas it can be argued we only have hot and hotter as weather options.

Well its winter here as you know, and I have been wearing lots of Chanel n°5 pure parfum and the EDP, Chanel Paris Paris ( agree, its gorgeous) and Coco Edp. Also Diptyque L'ombre dans l'eau EDT and Diptyque Eau Capitale solid Parfum- love! I have been smelling Carnal Flower lately and am thinking of purchasing, growing to enjoy it more and more. ❤❤

Where did you find the pure poison?
I like LV's Étoile Filante on my skin. It's so summery to me. There are a couple of perfumes now on my radar–very interested in Chanel's Paris-Paris! Shalimar was my mother's signature scent, and I still love it! Thank you for this list and breakdown xx

Hello Dacob, as always beautiful reviews, your descriptions are divine. Eden and Loulou from Cacharel are both intense, so nice, unique, I will never have fed up of them as they are both wonderful. Fed up of perfumes with no character and no lasting power. At least Eden and Loulou last. Had many compliments with them 🙂
Shalimar: this perfume is so opulent. Such a beautiful perfume. It is majestic as you said Dacob. It was my first perfume in my collection.

Another great list Dacob! I haven’t tried Shalimar in the heat yet. I’m intrigued. You convinced me last year to try Le Lion in the heat, and it works! Perfect sultry summer night perfume.
I just splash the shalimar on my wrist.40 temperature in Cyprus and smells amazing 😂 .
Carnal flower is my fave for a while now as well as perfume de therese and byredo 's sundazed and flower head.
Dacob, if you like white florals from Dominique Ropion try so nude by costume national. Tuberose and jasmine, bit of raunch with some cumin for a skin like feel
Hello Dacob! Thank you for sharing your choices for summer. I totally agree with you regarding warm scents in summer. I LOVE wearing those ones in the peak of the heat. They completely bloom. This year I had already my summer vacation and traveled with a lot of decants of perfumes. 😁 There were days where I couldn't wear anything but bug repellent because for 5 days I was in a safari in the middle of Tanzania. My God, I will never ever forget that experience of seeing the animals and how people live in Africa with so little… And always with a big smile on their faces. ❤️ In the beach I was wearing a dupe of the discontinued Midnight Poison, Noa by Cacharel and Olympea. This one really surprised me because I never liked it but since I had a full bottle, I thought it might as well use it and glad I did. In the hot, humid nights of Zanzibar I wore Opium, Obsession, Organza, Shalimar and Addict and each night I wore a different one. It bloomed with the warmth of the skin kissed by the sun. A big kiss to you ❤️😘
I remember in 2012 I started seeing new bottles of Pure Poison (and knowing how sh*tty Dior was with reformulations), freaked out I contacted my perfume "woman" and she managed to get last 6 (50 ml) bottles of the original bottle (according to batch code the bottles are from 2/2009) that they had in a warehouse. I agree with Jacob, the current offering cannot compare to the previous formulation.

I always buy myself a bottle or 2 for my bday. This year I bought Symphony and Baciami from the Bvlgari Allegra line. The Baciami reminds me of Hanae Mori Butterfly 🥰 Oh how I love Hanae Mori ❤️ It didn't always love me. The Baciami loves me ❤️ My LV CA gifted me a bottle of Sun Song!! I went to LV to shop for my Bday. I noticed Sun Song in the window. I always wanted to smell it but, now it's discontinued. They didn't have a tester, a sample vial, or a bottle to sell. I told my CA that she crushed my dreams because when I saw the bottle in the window I thought you had some in stock. The CA standing next to her suggested that they take it out of the window. Guess what my CA did with that bottle? 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Best bday surprise everrrrr! 🥰 It's sad because Sun Song smells so good on me and I'm obsessed!! 🤦🏾♀️😒😭 Having a good CA/SA is E👏🏾VE👏🏾RY👏🏾THANG👏🏾!! Well my boy you never fail to impress with your fragrance line ups! Thoroughly enjoyed your take on each one! Myself, I love my vintage designer juice and personally will spend the bucks where and when necessary to obtain them. I must have a tuberose in the mix for summer and although I love CF(so captivating!) I can't help but reach for the skanky goodness of Versace's Blonde!! Oh if sin has a smell lol! Another one I discovered a few years back from Guerlain is Jicky EDT (criminally discontinued)…. magnificent and the drydown is eternal and blooms with heat! Vintage Dune PH is a must. Sadly another Dior that has been eviscerated so only vintage but it is worth the hunt and cash imo. If a person can find vintage Sicily from D&G it is such a treasure and one I cannot go through summer without! Believe it or not, there is one fragrance that always brings a compliment when I wear it on a summer nights, and that is ET's Passion for Men! I must say even the reform is respectable, albeit a little thin but still a fantastic frag. The only extrait I indulge in for the heat is Sun, Moon, and Stars (and a lil Champagne, lol). What a devine rose that when dosed appropriately will linger in the sultry air on a summer evening like the breath of angels *sigh. Lastly I love 24 Faubourg EDT vintage but frankly for myself it is simply just to pretty and beautiful for me. I don't know why more women aren't embracing 24 in the heat of summer because there is simply nothing so magically WOMAN as that Hermes creation, MESMERIZING! Thanks Dacob for the impressions, recommendations, and of course education!!
As a footnote one extremely beautiful, oh so feminine, intoxicating, and ridiculously affordable and quite available in vintage formulation (Riviera dist.) Is Sung by Alfred Sung! Word of caution: If a woman applies this correctly, I can gaurantee her that men will crave her attentions!

Oh, please, please give me all the perfumes with character. I have just returned to my Alice (Westwood) collection and realised how utterly gorgeous they are. I'll try to remember I have them when summer rolls around, as I think they'll be ideal for hot summer mornings.
