  1. Your videos are the first ones I watch. No nonsense, right to the point, and don’t take up tons of time.

  2. Their prices have increased hugely over the past couple of years. I wonder if they got bought out?

  3. Excellent video! Skin Recovery Replenishing Moisturizer is my favorite! Thank goodness the company listened and made it available again.

  4. PC is just too expensive and there’s really no excuse besides marketing, not cool.

  5. thank you so much!! I actually like a little bit of silicone in my products (gives that smooth, blurring effect). But when I put a silicone skin care product then a silicone based moisturizer then a foundation with silicone, it starts to pill and look a mess.

  6. Thanks for this Wayne. I avoid silicones because they are in so many makeup, skin care and personal care products that it’s easy to have an overload of them. I get why because they do what more natural products can’t but I worry about their persistence in the environment and what effects that may have on plants and animals. I gave up on conventional hair care products years ago because silicones build up on hair and can be hard to remove. My hair is definitely not as smooth as it might be with conditioners and styling gels containing silicones but it is healthy. I think we need to adjust our expectations for our beauty products. Instead of seamless perfection it might be healthier for us and our environment to go for being the best version of ourselves.

  7. Yeah, this environmental stressors thing is getting in my craw lately… I love Paula's choice but when I saw they had that in the tag line of a recent product I was suspicious! Is it spf? No. Is it a barrier cream? No. Sooooo… Marketing gimmick? Hahaha

  8. Hello. I'm from Ecuador and have been using Paula's Choice since 2011. I used to order them online and get them sent directly to Ecuador, but when that became too expensive I could still get them because members of my family travel back and forth from the US, so they would bring them to me. I love researching ingredients and both her US and UK site list the ingredients of each product and next to them, in parenthesis, their purpose. Also, she has always had the Ingredient Dictionary available so whenever I've wanted to research an ingredient, the information has been there for me look up. I believe with this brand in particular, consumers are given the necessary information about each product so that if they want to understand what they are putting on their skin, they can. The thing is now that for a segment of consumers certain silicones are "ingredients to avoid", as with parabens or sulfates, do we want that to be stated on the label or be able to call customer service and have them give us right then and there the list of silicone-free products. I'm sure the brand, as many others, will catch up on the fact that certain consumers don't want silicones in their skincare and/or makeup (as they do whenever an ingredient becomes a cause for concern whether it be supported by research or not) and begin stating its absence or inclusion on product labels. But so far I have only needed internet and wanting to research Paula's Choice products to learn about their ingredients. What's more, I have now learned which ingredients to look for or avoid in cosmetics sold in my country and find alternatives I can buy here.

  9. Thank You for this Wayne! I don't have an allergy to silicone per say, but in my personal experience I have noticed that everytime I incorporate a silicone based product into my skincare/makeup routine it pills/swirls around every layer I took so long to achieve and it's just not worth it..

  10. Hello Mr Goss! Basically environmental aggressors are just UVA/UVB rays, pollution in the air, dust spores, chlorine in the water, or anything that can cause cell oxidation or aging.

  11. Thanks Wayne. You have really exceeded yourself with this one. The only YTber with this info. 🤗

  12. Wayne I would love to see a video of your make-up 'drawer'. In you case it may be slight bigger – talking us through everything. How you pack things/why etc. Would be really interesting. Tx Jacqui

  13. I love this brand. If I had the budget, they are all I would I use. But I dont, So I just use their sunscreen and BHA for the body at the moment.

  14. Ready for our makeup trends that need to die 2019 edition. 😉 I have a few ideas.. Heart you as always Mr. Goss!

  15. I love PC and have been devoted to her products since she first started out. Elle Leary said a while back that the Omega+ Serum is silicone free too. I don’t know if I’m mistaken or if you’d like to add it to your list. I reread the ingredients, and I didn’t see a silicone listed, but it’s all very science-babble so I could be wrong. Do you know for sure either way?

  16. I purchased the resurfacing products and the new ceramide moisturizer from Paula’s Choice because I really couldn’t afford the Drunk Elephant ones thinking I could live with the silicones. Boy was I wrong. I really do believe dimethicone does block absorption which is why I don’t mind it in a face primer but it can be crap in skin care especially when there is so much of it such as in the Paula’s Choice products. They are impossible to layer easily so it’s like a chemistry experiment every night trying to get the right balance. I purchased my Drunk Elephant during the Sephora Insider sale and cant wait until my Paula’s Choice runs out.

  17. I have developed an allergy to makeup. Especially to mascara, if anyone has any idea for makeup I could use, I’d appreciate it.

  18. I'm trying so hard to find your video where you do a precise conceal of the undereye shadow with an angle brush?! Anyone know what I'm looking for???

  19. This is totally off subject but I just wanted to share that I also followed peeweetoms and am heartbroken about his loss.

  20. The majority of the time, anyone who’s having a reaction from using a silicone based product is not having the reaction because of the silicone. Instead, it’s typically caused by whatever other sensitizing ingredients are paired with it in the formula or layered underneath during your regimen. Silicone does a great job at creating a breathable, yet occlusive layer to prevent all of those expensive active ingredients from evaporating off your face. So, if a sensitizing essential oil, or fragrance or any other skin-degrading agent is paired in a routine with silicone, it stays put on the skin, causing irritation from the long-term exposure of those ingredients on your skin. The particles of silicone are too large, molecularly, to penetrate the pore lining, which is where break outs stem from! Just do your extra research when making a purchase and use Beautypedia as your manual on what kind of sensitizing ingredients to avoid in your routine so that they’re not exacerbated by silicones. ☺️

  21. I love products containing silicone. Maybe the primers help me better, to cover texture and pores. I will do some research but it seems as though they are relatively safe?! What do other consumers think, please?

  22. I looked to you for advice as my skin which has always been oily, seems to be having some sort of mid-life crisis!! I've been using Paula's Choice for just 2 weeks and I can't remember when my skin last looked this good – actually I'm not sure it ever has. I just wanted to say thank you for your reviews and advice, without which I would still be a clogged pored, spotty 40 something!

  23. This is great information, thank you for sharing it with us! Silicones make me break out in no time at all, and they're so prevalent now. It's especially hard to find night creams or moisturizers with SPF that don't have dimethicone!

  24. I use cream-based makeup and it looks like there are zero moisturizers or sunscreens that do not include silicone from Paula's choice 😭
