I have a friend who makes candles and every so often I send her a bottle of Antaeus and she makes me 6 or so for the year and they smell,even though they are not official,incredible.It has always surprised me that Chanel don’t make candles…….Can you imagine Coco,Crystalle or Coromandel!!!!

Good! I had missed this part as well! I think Chanel has less of this « you should feel lucky to purchase things here » attitude than Hermès…. at least here in Paris.
I used to smoke YSL cigarettes when I was a teenager! 20 years ago, my friends just gathered their hard earned money to buy me a very elegant lizard black cigarette box from the fashion brand. I can’t figure out who was the creative director at the time. Hedi slimane? Tom Ford? Don’t know why I feel less attracted to those kind of freebies/ Christmas gifts. Years ago, my childhood friend gifted me a thermos and a snow ball. And I felt kinda underwhelmed.
Yet, the beach towel is amazing and perfectly suited to where you are located! The dark navy color is an homage to their masculine makeup line? So, when all the restrictions will be over, I just expect you to get yourself back into your old shape, buy a sexy Eres or what have you black and white sexy swimming boxer, and kick ass somewhere in Malibu with this beach towel and one of the giant Chanel sunglasses 🕶 from your archives… even though I know it’s not your style to show off that way😉

Spend $10,000+ at Chanel / year and your Christmas gift is… a nail kit they give you for free on a box of qtips (you all know exactly what I mean). Really Chanel? Even Louis Vuitton has nicer gifts. P.S. that face towel made in China… isn't worth keeping for 100 years. High jewelry created by Chanel in 1932 is. Actually its better to buy high jewelry from Chanel today, those pieces from the company will be worth something because they are extremely limited edition and made by expert craftsman and expensive materials, again Chinese face towels won't be.

I didn't receive a Christmas Present from Chanel this year. Probably because they were closed most of the year, so I only bought a couple of bottles from them.
I love the presents. That beach towel is very special!
The face towels are currently on eBay for US$269.49!!! They look in very good condition and they seller is located in Japan so they are probably authentic, but I have decided to not to buy them. The Australian dollar is too low for that indulgence.

The best towels and bed linens madein Europe are made in Portugal, so enjoy your new towel….. people from Spain go to Portugal and they make sure to stock on those……

Last Christmas, Chanel sent me the snow globe. Why did I receive it? Because I spent a certain amount of money at Chanel? This year I received nothing. Maybe that’s because I bought ALL THE MAKEUP last year!

I was trying to figure out the nail file freebie etc … I think everything that year may have been a nod to Christmas crackers and their contents! A luxury version, of course! Loving the candle and your content as always Dacob!
I might be completely wrong… but I feel like even the freebies changed now. They used to be more charming, no? A snowglobe, a sand clock… it' feels a bit more luxe also. Now washi tape or halter for lipsticks… happy to hear your knowledgeable opinion Dacob.
