Does anyone else recommend another shampoo and conditioner. aveda is so expensive and not within my budget 🙁
Sorry Nikkia but I have tried Aveda Repair and have tried their other Aveda products, but I don't like their products at all, not a fan of Aveda. I have tried so many products on the market and for me the best is a range called Virtue particularly their Flourish range, amazing! The best hair mask that I have tried is the Olaplex No 8 hair mask, to die for. Also, the new Olaplex hair serum No 9 is so good and contains no silicone. These are my must haves.

I shampoo every other day. Idk why it's suddenly a thing to go as long as possible without shampooing lol. I feel like my scalp is just like my body and my face and I wash them every day or 2 times a day right? I also double cleanse when I shampoo just like my face in the evening. I first remove whatever is in my hair then shampoo the hair and scalp themselves. I use less product and it's actually faster because it's easier to lather and rinse.
I love the eva nyc hair mask. It's hydrating but doesn't weigh my hair down.
Do you have a cart that you tote stuff in and out of the shower every time 😅🤣😅🤣😅 jk but I seriously always have so much stuff in the shower like hair care, skincare, body scrubs, body wash etcetera, I have no room lol.
Once I tried the ion heat protection spray. That's the Sally's brand basically. The spray literally hurt my lungs. Every time I'd use it, I'd get it in my lungs like breathing it in and cough like crazy, it smells horrible and it made my very dry hair very greasy looking. Normally ion products are pretty good and more affordable since they're a store brand.
I like the karastase (idk how to spell that lol) hair oil and overnight hair serum a lot.
You do have some of the most beautiful hair I've seen. I've heard that if I use things for damaged hair or hair repair without damaged hair that it isn't good and causes buildup and to only use hydrating products but I feel like my hair feels like straw now. I have super coarse, thick hair. My hair has turned curly in the back these past couple years too so it's very strange and textured lol. I've always wanted curly hair but it's not curly everywhere therefore I have to straighten or curl it every day.
Can’t you just put a handful of Himalayan salts into your shampoo and get same results ?

How do the Aveda products smell. I used to not be able to stand the smell of their products and can't say I've used them since. They were very masculine smelling.
