yes the animation is just for the song and its a sequel to one of his other songs called How to eat life
Fight Song was made for Chainsaw man but on his channel it has a completely different story

I really love Eve's music videos, they have their own story and good animation.
The best ones (on my opinion) is Dramaturgy, Nonsense bungaku, Last dance, Tokyo ghetto, How to eat life and Fight song. They have amazing atmosphere, mysterious, strange and very interesting. It seems like all of these MV are just some little stories from another mysterious and maybe dangerous world.

this is just for the music video, its a sequle to one of his past songs "how to eat life" but it is based off a manga(a japanese comic book)
Eve is fantastic, I and as I can see, many others, highly recommend all of his music.

This song is a sequel to the song “how to eat life”! Eve has plenty of other songs that for the most part all contribute to one big story. He even has a manga in which the main character from this video (Tobi Otogiri) appears and several other characters from Eve’s music videos! It’s called Kara No Kioku!
