長年使われ続けてきた放送システムは、時としてそれまでの伝統を切り捨てて大きく姿を変える時があります。
導入されて20年以上経ったATOS放送では、放送文のマイナーチェンジ、簡易英語放送の導入、そして決定的な男性声優の交代（津田英治氏→田中一永氏）を経て、かつてのATOS放送が残る駅は少なくなってきました。
この動画では、ATOS放送の一時代を築いた津田英治の声と、長音の駅名連呼が残る駅（いわゆる「常磐型ATOS放送」）で録音した放送を記録しています。
横須賀線の以下の３駅で録音した放送を収録しています。
・保土ヶ谷駅
・東戸塚駅
・新川崎駅

Welcome to Yata-Tetsu’s Station & Train Announcements Channel from Japan!
Tokyo — one of the largest, busiest cities in the world.
JR East owns and manages conventional railroad lines in Greater Tokyo. In the region, lots of commuters and intercity trains arrive and depart with a very short intervals.
To control numerous number of trains properly and provide information to passengers, JR East introduced automated train controlling system and a passenger information system connected to the train controlling system in all areas in Tokyo. This is the ATOS — “A”utonomous Decentralized “T”ransport “O”peration Control “S”ystem.
The automated announcement system provided by ATOS has been changed since they started operation in 1996. The biggest change on it is that the announcer of man-voice announcement was alternated in 2014.
Tsuda Eiji, the announcer of the old version ATOS announcement, was very famous and popular among train enthusiasts so this change caused quite big impact to them. And now, there are few stations where the old version announcement is still being used.
This video recorded the Tsuda’s voice in ATOS announcements on the Yokosuka Line.
