This week will see the first full-field event of 2023, as the PGA TOUR moves to the Sony Open in Hawaii. After a thrilling Sentry Tournament of Champions saw Jon Rahm storm to victory with a stunning 10-under-par final round, 19 players from last week’s field will be teeing it up once again. Jordan Spieth will be returning to the Sony Open for the first time since 2019, alongside 20-year-old Tom Kim, who will be looking to continue his fantastic form that saw him win the Wyndham Championship and Shriners Children’s Open in 2022. Hideki Matsuyama produced an exceptional comeback at last year’s tournament, claiming an unlikely win despite being five shots behind the leader with just nine holes to play. Other top-ranked players to look out for include Sungjae Im, Keegan Bradley and Tom Hoge, who will be looking to add to the first PGA TOUR title he won at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in 2022.

  1. Always enjoyed the Sony Open this time of year. The boyz are playin' out of their boots, birdie fest!

  2. I didnt see a glimpse of the 2 Koreans on the top of the leaderboard. While other players on the bottom are being shown. Obviously discrimination.

  3. I will stop watching the PGA tour. Thats why I like watching the LIV golf. All players are shown on tv.

  4. Jordan Spieth gets a highlights reel all to himself after round 1…….and misses the cut! What happened?

  5. I had to reply that last shot from Hayden Buckley like 10 times. He raises the club up off the ground so high before taking it away. I'm not going to argue with the results, but man did that look weird.

  6. Watching from New Delhi, India – PGA Tour finally gets the highlights rite. After Golf TV shanks it OB and shuts down, this is v welcome 👍⛳️

  7. That's got to be one of the most insane looking swings of all time

  8. SOO happy for the 2023 season! Paul Azinger is such a great golf commentator! Imagine if Tiger gave it a go?? His deep knowledge of the game would be a COMPLETE game changer. I'd think folks would tune in just to watch him in the booth. Yo CBS?!? Give TW a gazillion dollars to step into the booth? Along with Dottie? You would HAVE to watch.

  9. Does anybody besides their parents know who these guys on the leader board are? Could someone please punch me in the face so I can see some stars? How long do I have to wait until the next LIV Golf event?

  10. hayden buckley has been an up and coming player for a while now,. Looks like he may be on his way to taking the next step!

  11. The new approach to these round recap videos this year is awesome!! Fast-paced enough for my "internet brain" and shows the leaders, those in important spots (near the cut line on Fridays) and also just the best golf shots of the day.

I follow the PGA/LPGA tours closely, but try to not base my life around other people playing games. Even when I catch half the coverage one day, I still look to these recap videos for anything I may have missed. Just watched Friday and today to get ready for Sunday afternoon.

    Some things I'd add:
    – The stars still make the biggest headlines. People wouldn't mind seeing Speith ruin a great first round to miss the cut by collapsing on Friday, even if it was summed up in 20 seconds of the video.

    – Get the leaders some more face time! It would have been great to see a piece of Hayden Buckley's post-round interview at the end of the vid. All I knew about him was that his first name was Hayden when I saw "H. Buckley" was leading. Even if he doesn't end up winning this week he will gain some fans – why not help that along?

-Show how much money one shot at the end of a Sunday ends up costing different players. People love that kind of stuff

    Thanks and keep it up!!
