  1. I remember seeing some footage of American tourists recording the tsunami (even though it was on Phi Phi Islands, and not Khao Lak)

  2. What’s GREAT about this movie is seeing Ewan shirtless 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

  3. Fun fact this movie is base of a real Is family who went through the tsunami its scary to imagine being in this situation

  4. This is the most realistic tsunami scene i have ever seen.. Unlike other movie when tsunami is 100 meter high and clean fresh water..

  5. There's a story I remember seeing once on TV, on a show on Animal Planet I believe, that had to do with the tsunami here. Apparently this one girl, who along with a trainer had survived the event, was saved by one of the elephants that she was riding. The elephant, like all animals, knew that the tsunami was coming and booked it, the girl and the trainer as far away from the coast as it could.

It's fascinating that animals have that sense, ain't it? They can sense when sh*t's about to go down and they do not hesitate to hightail it.
