    I heard that dobermans over 7 or 9 years theyr brain get bigger în their skull and they start to bark and even attack owners

    Protective but never aggressive
    Love their family but bonds to one master
    Velcro to the max
    Never runs off
    Good with livestock and other pets with correct socialization
    Hates the cold! House dog but needs exercise. Not a yard dog

    Make sure to research American VS European Doberman breeds. Especially if you want a protection dog.

    Hey Garrett, how old is Miss Athena? I’m asking because I have a 16 month old American female who looks to be about the same size. Mine is probably less than 50 lbs. and about half the size of my European male. I’m curious if this is average size for American females, or if I happened to have a runt or inbreeding can result in smaller size. I also wonder if the 16 month old may grow more.

    I had a doberman once, but one time some kid slipped his arm in it's cage and he received serious flesh wounds,… I didn't think it was my fault but I had to give it up upon pressure from authorities.

    I don't like Dobermans. As a kid there was a Doberman on the block I grew up on and it didn't Matter if we were kids that dog chased us whenever it could. It would sit on the back porch and take off in a full sprint at the fence barking at us kids. I was 10. Then when I got older and got a dog myself a Doberman tried to attack my dog. I don't like Rottweilers either. There's just certain dogs I don't like. I don't trust them and never will.

    And here I am an owner of a pitbull lol. I don't care I judge dogs lol.

    These dogs were originally bred for protection. Very few breeds were bred for that purpose. That means Dobermans were bred to be very keen on human interaction.

    My Doberman's name was Dutch. I lost him October of last year. He never let me out of his sight. Best buddie I ever had in my life. Gosh I miss him.
