  1. wtf why are you yanking him? i support balanced training methods and use them and use sprengers prongs but this is deffo not the way how to use one

  2. I had one, 1995-2004. In the last year of his life he became verry agressive. He started to bite everyone in the house. Couldn't go walk with him anymore… So, finally the vet said that his brain started to grow and that this is normal, but the pain drive him crazy… So… We had to say goodbye. At that time, this breed inspired fear.

  3. I grew up with Dobermanns and had my own.
    Socialise, socialise, socialise.
    Train, train train.

Never forget that these are smart dogs. They’ll figure you out and WILL try to find any way around doing what you actually want when they’ve set their mind to it.

However… win their trust and respect, and they’ll be amazing. You need to be calm, consistent and more tenacious than they are. Don’t fall for dramatics. Stay calm. The trick with Dobermanns (IMHO) is not to give a rat’s fart how long something takes. You KNOW the dog’s already figured out what you want from the first time you showed him. He needs to understand that there is no other option but to do what you want. Because you’ve got more patience and stamina than he does and you don’t care if the entire obedience class is laughing. It. Does. Not. Matter.

But never, EVER be harsh. Dobermanns need to trust their handler implicitly and unconditionally. That means you need to be calm, firm, consistent and kind. I don’t mean the rainbows-and-sunshine-Polyanna-lah-dee-dah-treats-and-kisses-all-the-time type of kindness. No. Don’t get angry. Get calm. Correct, direct, reward.

    I miss my Lailah…

  4. Thank you for your knowledge my man, I’ve been training my 10 month old golden with an e collar and following a lot of your advice. He has learned an exceptional amount in literally a week and shows nothing but love and joy to have a job to do. Keep up the amazing work.

  5. The ability to train a highly intelligent and loyal dog such as a doberman pinscher is extremely important because it is designed to protect one human from another. This dog is highly traineable and that's why this trainer will be successful. This dog is genetically bred to be loyal, obedient come trainable and highly intelligent as well as protective to its owner. The fact that the previous owners were unable to train that dog tells me that the problem was with the owners, not with the dog or the breed. How do I know question? Mark? Just read a few books on the subject of doberman pinchers, Try and talk to any doberman pinscher dog owner and you will learn right away. The video presenter simply confirms the point that all doberman pinscher owners already know; the problem is the owner not the dog breed ir i dividual dog!

  6. Like the start of Rocky the movie 🚦🚴⚖️ he learns and the owner gets just as fit as the dog 👍
