左義長 さぎちょう 射水の火祭り
古式の発火法で摩擦熱で種火を作る「舞鑚(まいぎり)」によって、御神前で清らかな〝御神火(忌火)〟を起こし、やぐらに点火、お正月飾りや一年間お守りいただいたお守りや縁起物、書き初めなどを焚き上げます。
この御神火にあたると一年が無病息災と伝えられ、一年の感謝を込めて、毎年多くの方がお参りされます。
Sagicho Imizu Fire Festival
Using the ancient fire-making method of “Maigiri,” which creates a seed fire using frictional heat, a pure “sacred fire” is lit in front of the altar, and the tower is lit, and New Year’s decorations, talismans and lucky charms that have been kept for the year, calligraphy, etc. are burned.
It is said that if you are exposed to this sacred fire, you will be free from illness and disaster for the year, and many people visit the festival every year to express their gratitude for the year.
