⁴ᴷ Okayama: Tokiwa Station (岡山県: 常磐駅) – Japan Walking Tour (January, 2025)
I have restarted my revenge trip to tour various cities in Shikoku, which I had to abandon last December. This time, I took a ferry directly from Tokyo to Tokushima, then traveled through Kochi, Ehime, and Kagawa before crossing the Seto Ohashi Bridge and returning to Okayama.
Mizushima in Kurashiki City is an industrial area known as the Mizushima Industrial Complex. People outside Okayama might not be very familiar with it, but the area around Tokiwa Station in Mizushima used to be a bustling nightlife district. Even now, there are still neon-lit establishments, and you can see older and younger men trying to attract customers on the streets. However, many of the businesses are now closed, making their presence quite noticeable.
