Hirosaki City | Team “Sakuramori” /弘前市 チーム「桜守」

日本三大桜名所の1つとして知られる青森県弘前市の弘前公園。
日本最古のソメイヨシノを始め、約2,600本の桜の木が並んでいます。
その桜を守り、育てる「桜守（さくらもり）」と呼ばれる人々の
活動を１年通して記録した映像です。

Hirosaki Park, in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, is home to one of the
three largest cherry blossoms sights in Japan.

In addition to roughly 2600 cherry blossom trees surrounding the park, here lies the oldest Somei Yoshino tree in Japan.

This is a film documenting an year of the work of the “Sakuramori”, who guard and nurture the cherry blossoms.
